Tweakforce II - The Final Cut

Description
NOTE:- Are you looking for the IPS patch for Tweakforce? Look no further!
https://mega.nz/#!3Vhl2TJZ!ZEvoP6NAsUrTbvF04pp0axULjp7da5yrYV-ogF5fCgQ

Tweakforce II is a modification for Shining Force II that rebalances and increases challenge for late game. All monsters have had a significant boost in difficulty, but at the same time grinding has been drastically reduced to speed up runs. Have you ever wanted to play Janet but she sucked too much? Well now you can! (Bad characters are not terrible in Tweakforce.)

Several changes included:-
-Decapitalization of recruitable NPC names.
-Large increases to the HP, defense, attack and MP pools of many enemies.
-Monsters, like Monks, have been given some extra spells.
-Luke and Screech have been buffed considerably. Peter took a slight hit to the stats and gained a few extra -weaknesses. Birdmen and Pheonixes, as well as all flying enemies are weak to wind and electricity.
-More enemies have weakness and resistances to spells that make more sense. Undead were unchanged; but given more ice resistance like SF1 variants.
-Kazin (Wizard) has been made more viable.
- Most characters considered 'terrible' have been boosted, unpopular alternate promotes have been given extra incentives to use them.

And much more!

This is a FINAL copy. Steam will not allow me to modify a hack beyond what I intially submitted. Therefore, any persisting bugs will only be tended to by IPS. Please bear in mind, there are several non-gamebreaking bugs that cannot be scrubbed due to Caravan no longer working and if you mention these bugs in the comments, I will not pay attention to them since I can do nothing about them. This difficulty hack is a preference hack evolved into something bigger, if the game is not hard enough for you, you might want to find a different hack. This is not about brutal difficulty, but providing an increased challenge you can tackle with a well built party.

Detailed Changelog:- [Spoilers]

Tweakforce Version 3:- [Final Cut Notes]
- Lemon fixed (yay!)
- Kazin learns spells quicker
- Bat Sprites added!
- Goblin Overworld sprites reworked!
- Oddeye Battle scrubbed! (This fight will be a shock if you thought the rest of the game was easy...)
- More sources of Promotion items (check the shops!)
- Fixed the aquisition of items that were rendered unobtainable.
- Luke no longer has a mana pool
- Non Prepromotes were buffed (again) across the board. They still couldn't keep up with pre-premotes, even after the stat changes.
- Early game was made a little bit easier to scale with those who don't like using Egress.
- Changed a lot of AI on enemies, Witches are more likely to heal now if nessicary.
- Added some new monsters to fights
- Monks corrected

Tweakforce Version 2:-
- Reduced health and damage of a few early game enemies. (Gizmos are in the right spot so they're unchanged)
- Knights, Pegasus Knights and Master Mages all have new sprites.
- Swordsman, Hero, Priest, Mage, Knight, Paladin have new sprites.
- Bubbling Ooze became Volitile Ooze, has a chance to spew different elemental breaths.
- Magma Ooze come packing with Blaze 1
- Galam Mage now casts Blaze level 2 correctly.
- Damage boost to many lategame enemies. I recommend a full party of level 40 promoted characters to survive!
- Rats, Oozes, Wyvern, Dragonewt, Devil Griffon, etc got touch ups.

Tweakforce Version 1:-
-Experience gain on all enemies was increased to the maximum yeild. You won't notice this on the first battle with the Gizmos.
-All enemies have had stat increases. Gizmo's for example have had their HP increased from 5 to 8, and their attack increased by 1. Giant Rats in the second battle pack more damage and have 25 HP, requiring you to effectively use land effect. Dark Smokes feel like actual bosses!
-Egress has not been removed, but the need to use it asides town jumping is minimal. Late bloomers such as Slade and Kiwi will no longer need 'babying'. Use the spell at your own discretion.
- Sarah (Priest) was given more mana and some interesting spells to counteract with the popularity of Master Monks. MMNK has been mostly unchanged.
- Kazin (Wizard) was given more mana and muddle and desoul were changed over for Freeze and Attack (1) to counteract the popularity of Sorceror.
- Elric and Randolf at Creeds manor have had various stat increases.
- Some enemies names were changed. Dark Madam, Lesser Demon etc.
- Red Baron drops a Mithril on death.
- Zeon has a very high chance to crit, double attack and counter.
- King Galam gained Freeze level 4
- Flower Lasers can MP drain
- Zalbard drops the Life Ring, he can also use Demon Breath and Bolt 4!
- Ghesp can also Demon Breath!
- The Kraken head has an extra deadly attack, to prevent it being cheesed by the birds.
- 'Black' Monks Palette was fixed to match his overworld sprite.
- Huge Bat is using an unused palette.
- Zynk's movement was increased.
- Extra abilities added to Chester, Luke.

Fixed Bugs:-
-Several enemies, including the Galam Mage and Galam Knight have spells with the incorrect mana amount to use them.

Known Bugs:-
- Oddeye Dialouge post battle cannot be scrubbed
- Goblin sprite is incorrect on its backfacing sprite
- A few enemies retain items that are no longer obtainable (Check the shops instead)
- Slight colour discrepancies when spells are cast.

Credits:-
HerosCreed, CirrusAF - They tested this project a fair bit and helped me out with stat changes.
BowietheHero, NoWorries - These speedrunners helped me see where SF2 can be broken and allowed me to make informed decisions on buffs/nerfs.

So this modification is working as intended in game, but it doesn't let me do savestates, nor does my progress save after I turn the game off. any remedy for this?

"Experience gain on all enemies was increased to the maximum yeild. You won't notice this on the first battle with the Gizmos." That somehow breaks the early game. You have to start thinking who needs exp instead of how to fight. For me the Hero and Chester were far in front with the lvl because they are fast and hard hitting. You also can use the battle before Yeel to grind to 40/40. Some kind of "break" would have been nice. Or a lot of self-control not to repeat battles.

What did you use to edit the files?

They both sound fun and interesting especially the final conflict one. Can you change the story or make the heroes of one SF be the enemies of another? That would be swwweeet

@akz I've thought of a few things, like a Shining Force 1 enemies in SF2 art hack. Another was Shining Force:- Final Conflict characters in SF2, but I have to finish a personal, original game project before I can persue it.

Are there any plans for something else with SF2?
