Welcome to Khufu's Delivery Service!
At KDS your job is to sort the incoming cut stone from the quarry for sending to the builders at Giza. Efficiency is the goal, sending a full load means less time wasted counting on the other end and a quicker turnaround for that team for you.

Oh, and the builders also offer a bonus for color-matching boards of any size, as it helps them utilize the stone quicker.

Keep the process flowing and everyone stays happy, got it?

Khufu's Delivery Service is an arcade puzzle game that challenges your skill and speed to maximize space with different shaped pieces. There are currently 4 planned game modes: Standard, Time-Attack, Pyramid, and Puzzle. Each focuses on a different gameplay aspect to provide a variety ways to have fun!

Game Directions:
Drag and drop the pieces from the conveyor onto the open boards. Try to fill each one as much as possible, once they are at least half-full they can be 'sent' (the button below each box) away. The more full the board the more points its worth, plus a faster respawn time. Sending a board comprised of all the same color also receives a points bonus. Time-attack and Pyramid modes are different variations of this, with the time-attack mode focusing on speed and the pyramid mode focusing on maximum effieciency. Puzzle mode is more like traditional tangrams, use the pieces provided to fill in each puzzle.

Originally created for Ludum Dare 36 - theme "Ancient Technology" the LD version is available at https://doublesquare.itch.io/khufus-delivery-service if you'd like to try a demo. Since that build I've fixed bugs, added the multiple game modes, and polished many aspects of the interface and player interaction.

@Cranberry Chainsaw

First and foremost Khufu's Delivery Service is a puzzle game, with the different gamemodes providing arcade elements. It is inspired by the board game Blockus mixed with elements of my day job (warehouse manager / stacking boxes on pallets) which I find can be rewarding when the pieces fit just right. My hope is that people that enjoy that type of thing would enjoy this as well, but I accept that not everyone would find this type of gameplay engaging.
Thank you for your comment and if want to get a feel for how it plays try the LD jam version that is hosted at the itch.io link in the description.

To be honest, it just looks... really, really dull. :/

@SupaDope®

There will not be any ads or 'No Ads' button on the desktop platforms. I am developing the desktop and mobile versions simultaneously and trying to take advantage of the aspects both platforms have to offer. Thank you for taking a look!

@ Booker DeWitt

I am using Gamemaker, which does have a Mac and Linux export as well- I've used the Mac previously so that shouldn't be an issue, I'll need to set up to test the Linux, but barring any major issues I will release a version for that as well. Thanks for checking it out!

So if I buy this, I have to press the button on my monitor screen that says "no ads" to make sure I don't see any ads?

Lazy mobile port. Stick to the Play Store
