How To Run Dev Builds
By dimmu1313
For those who prefer not to have to watch a video to see how to do something rather simple, here's a guide with screenshots to get your game running the latest Dev Build. Note that the latest development build is considered "unstable" and therefore can have bugs not previously reported.

The process is as follows:

  1. Go to your games library.
  2. Right-click Space Engineers in the list, and select "Properties".
  3. In the Properties window, click the Betas tab.
  4. Click the drop-down and select "develop - Public develop branch".
  5. Click OK to close the window and apply the change.
  6. The game should start building the latest Unstable build immediately.

@DrKirk I haven't looked in a while but that may just be what's available now.

@Weirdbeard you should definitely post that question in the general forum but I would say you should just create a new save file. So prior to running the dev build, load up your world, save as a new save name, then load that once you have the dev build running.

Will running the Public Dev build use and overwrite my existing worlds or does it create a separate branch in which to store games? Thanks!
