Another time attacker guide

Workaround method for the achievement.

Chrashes? No way!

First things first. Time attack mode of the game doesn't work well, but you can still get the achievement. I had a hard time getting it and had to look up various guides online to know how it works. So here's the method that worked for me.

Even though the game won't show your time on the stages you already beat it still registers, don't worry about it.

You have to play the stages in order, from top to bottom. Eventually you will run into a crash. The thing is the game usually crashes after you finished a stage and luckily it still counts toward the achievement.

So after that every time you want to select that exact stage in the menu your game will crash. That means you can't go down in the selection menu so you have to go up instead. This way you can select the next stage.

If you don't do the stages in order there is a chance you get a dead zone between two crashed levels where you can't select some stages anymore. That's the only thing you have to look out for.

That's bad, I don't know what you can do in that case. If reinstalling the game doesn't work then you could try deleting your Sonic Generation save and start a new one (make a copy of it first, in case you need it later). You should be able to do that if you set the the cloud save options off so your new file won't sync with your prevoius save file from the cloud. It's just an idea though.

Thanks for the guide! I managed to get in fine the first time and completed GHZ Act 1, and it crashed at the end... now when I go back in it crashes every time regardless of what I do

Since GHZ Act 1 is the first stage and therefore always selected by default, am I totally screwed now?!
