Let's do this
Just after uploading everything to Greenlight we packed and rushed to the airport to go to San Francisco!
Dominik, Christian and Sam just arrived there for GDC ( Game Developers Conference ) where we will spend the next week for showcasing DERU and enjoying talks! So if you are around we exhibit in the GDC Play ( our booth number is PL4837, so we're just in between the Nordic Lounge and the IGF Pavilion, wuhuu ).

And as a quick preview: If you're attending SXSW in Austin, Texas in two weeks time, we're also showing the game there as part of the Gamer's Voice Award in which we are nominated. So bookmark it and drop by to say hi.

Release date: 2017
DERU mixes eye catching abstract art with mind bending puzzles to a unique gaming experience for two players.

The art is the puzzle and the puzzle is the art. Block streams for your partner, juggle your mass to make each other huge for traversing big streams. To succeed you have to communicate and plan together, fuse your brains and bring your co-op gaming skills on the next level.

Deru is more than your usual puzzle game, you need to have dexterity, precision and use strategic planning to reach the exit of each level.

- Enjoy beautiful abstract art while solving mind-bending puzzles
- Simple game mechanics, easy to pick up
- Atmospheric music
- Multiple worlds packed with many brain twisting riddles
- Couch Co-op, merge your brains together to overcome the streams and barriers
- Single Player: Challenge your twin stick skills to tackle the puzzles solo

Story Mode
In the Story Mode you cooperate through worlds filled with unique handcrafted puzzles, and discover and learn all the mechanics hidden in the abstract world of DERU.

Challenge Mode
Fuse your brains and master the art of cooperative puzzling against the clock. Upload your best time and see if you can beat your friends and their coop-team.

Hey this is Schlicht!
Yes you are right! Fear not you might have seen this game at various exhibitions under its former name: “Schlicht”.

Sound and Music
Michel Barengo created the music and soundscape for the game. A granular exploration of physicality which results in a soundscape in between the digital and real, which has been awarded with the “SUISA Swiss Games Music” prize.

Not only we love the game, DERU gathered lots of critical acclaim.
Look at those tasty awards!

Thanks! We try to keep the entry barrier low, meaning the controls are very easy. One Stick and one button for each character. So it easy playable with players which aren't that experienced. At the same time with want to provide a deeper and rich co-op experience in the Challenge Mode. There players can get to their limits and push their co-op skills to get the best time.

I had lots of fun playing this at SXSW! I hope it makes it to Steam, I've always been looking for another puzzle game I can play with non-gamers.

On exhibitions we observed that indeed couples and friends really enjoy it! :)

But not only that, just last week at GDC it was so cool to see players which didn't know each enjoy their success and do high fives together :) After playing the chatted for while... so goood <3

Greetings from GDC.

Playing it Solo:
Either via twin stick on the gamepad or on the keyboard board (WASD and Arrow keys), as some other mentioned.

Linux version:
Depends on how much it's requested.
