Suburban Scavengers Holiday Update is now live on!
Suburban Scavengers is now available for free download!
Release date: Early 2017
Suburban Scavengers is a tug of war style fighting game where you're trying to get somebody's garbage couch into your house. With game play similar to Nidhogg and Divekick, matches are fast paced and intense. The winner is whoever pushes the couch into their house first.

The initial release of the game will be free and available November 22nd. After that, a larger version of the game with extra characters, levels, items to fight over with unique interactions, alternate game modes, and a single player "fight to the top" mode similar to old school versions of fighting games like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter will be released early 2017.

Grab a friend and battle for the couch!

If you could maybe add more fighters, I could how this would be interesting. Action or fighter games need variety.

I think it's a very fun game to play with friends and reminds me of college days when people fought over what was left on curbs from college students.

The gameplay wears out really fast, and it looks poorly executed.
The only thing this game got going for itself is mediocre humor and mediocre visuals. It just so happens, that I've seen all of it in your trailer, so I don't really need to buy it.
Also huge minus for submitting the game too early despite all the things, you want to put into it.

@doombrowski Saw you at OIX and loved the premise of this fighting game! Can't wait to see what gets added! Looking forward to more funny characters, silly craiglist items, etc

You expect people to vote for a glorified Flash game that's in pre-alpha? That's rich.
Doombrowski  [author] Nov 3, 2016 @ 8:12pm It's a fighting game. Unfortunately, fighting games tend to be a bit repetitive. :/ They're just not for some people. There will be more content to allow for game play variance, but they are currently under construction. Multi Player is definitely where this game shines.
