Invisibility Shout

I've already created another version of this beforehand, which gives you a lesser power instead of a shout that this version offers. Check the power version here:

So I was playing Planetside the other day as an Infiltrator, and thought: "Gee, wouldn't it be great if I could run around Skyrim invisible (for a long period of time without having to recast) like this? I could be naked, and nobody would be the wiser!" And so I set forth to create this mod.

The shout version is more balanced, and adds a new shout called "Invisibility Cloak". It is linked with the "Become Ethereal" shout, so as you unlock the words for that shout (fiem, zee, gron), you will also unlock the words for the Invisibility shout along side it. So you unlock two shouts for the price of one! I choose the "Become Ethereal" shout because it made the most sense to attach it too, and also because I couldn't figure out how to make a totally new original shout. Both shouts are still separate from each other, just that "Invisibility Cloak" borrows the words for "Become Ethereal". Each rank of the shout is a smaller cooldown, first word is a 30 second, second word is 20, and third word is 10. The invisibility lasts forever, at least untill you hit someone or activate something.

I recommend this version, because it doesn't allow you to easily pop in and out of invisibility during combat, which makes fighting an effortless affair.
(although the power version makes you feel like a ninja)

Note: If you already have all the words for the "Become Ethereal" shout, you wont automatically unlock the "Invisibility Cloak", what you can do is use console commands and type "help invisibility 0", and find the shout, and use "player.addshout xxxxxxxxx" to add that shout in.

Also on the lovely Nexus:
(The nexus version is more often updated, has optional files, etc... It's just easier to manage my files there.)

For some reason the transparency texture for these invisibility mods have a strange glitch. Most of the character model is completely invisible (as in no trace) while only a portion upwards of the shoulders can be seen with the standard invisibility texture. I've tried both your mods, and both have this odd glitch. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi there, your gonna wanna start learning how to do the basics in the CK if you want to start modding. I reccommend following the tutorials put out by the devs:

It's where I started as well, it's very helpful and get's you to understand the groundwork behind the CK. After that, learning new things is really just about playing around. Get these basics down first, and then try your hand at making a new shout. If you can't figure it out then, come ask me again, and I'll give you some pointers that should get you in the right direction.

Good luck, and have fun!

I am completely new to making mods, and haven't made any yet, but I have an excellent idea for a new (not a replacer) shout, and I was wondering if you would be willing to give me some tips as to how to go about creating it. I have no idea how to use the CK yet. If not, thank you for your time, and I won't bother you further.

@the magic assasin

Are you sure you've done it correct? Are you absolutely sure? Because if you have the mod downloaded, and you already have the become ethreal shout unlocked, this will work.
