Blood Magic

**UPDATE 10/28**
Important fix for spells leveling associated skills.

**UPDATE 8/25**
Latest update adds 3 new illusion spells, various fixes.


This mod adds 22 new spells into the game all themed around using health as a resource instead of magicka, and are generally vampiric in nature and go great with vampire-type characters, or any characters with a large health pool. The spells are all sold by a vendor located outside Riverwood in the direction of the Guardian Stones, to the left(see screenshot).

This can be considered a work in progress as I would like to add more to this mod in the coming weeks as time permits. Feedback is greatly appreciated, whether balance-related, bug-related, or just letting me know you enjoy(or hate) my work! =)

*NOTE* You can kill yourself using spells that cost more health than you have remaining. Be careful!


The spells added are listed below, with a brief description:


-Destruction-

Novice-
Siphon: Drain enemy's health regeneration while channeling. No cost.
Bloodbolt: Fire a projectile that deals damage and returns the damage dealt as life.

Apprentice-
Blood Barrage: Fire a single bloodbolt. If it strikes, fire another one automatically for free. Maximum three bolts.
Lifebrand: Enchant your mainhand weapon to deal additional damage and return that damage to you as life.

Adept-
Life Leech: Place a curse on target that slowly saps life and returns it to you.
Blood Burst: Fire five bloodbolts in quick succession.
Draining Bolt: Fire a weak, costless bolt of energy that returns additional life to you if it strikes.

Expert-
Blood Cannon: Fire a powerful blast of energy that returns the damage dealt as life.
Soulbrand: Enchant your mainhand weapon with increased speed and additional damage that is returned to you as life.

Master-
Bloodstorm: Cause a powerful burst of energy to erupt around you, damaging all nearby targets and absorbing the damage dealt as life.


-Restoration-

Novice-
Rapid Regeneration: Sacrifice some health to increase your health regeneration for 5 minutes.
Lesser Bloodguard: Sacrifice some health to increase your maximum health for 5 minutes.

Apprentice-
Ritual Respite: Channel 15 health into stamina per second.

Adept-
Bloodguard: Sacrifice a sizeable portion of health to increase your maximum health for 5 minutes.

Expert-
Ritual Rejuvenation: Channel 30 health into stamina per second.

Master-
Greater Bloodguard: Sacrifice a massive amount of health to increase your maximum health for 5 minutes.


-Alteration-

Novice-
Ritual Equilibrium: Channel 12 health into magicka per second.

Adept-
Apathy: Constantly channel health to render yourself immune to outside damage.

Master-
Masochism: Constantly channel health to render yourself immune to outside damage. Additionally, when struck by a weapon, immediately cast a reactive heal on yourself.


-Illusion-

Novice-
Muted Steps: Movement noise muffled while channeling health.

Adept-
Nightstalker: Invisibility while channeling health.

Master-
Riot: Sacrifice a large portion of health over the next several seconds to frenzy all nearby targets and turn invisible briefly.

This mod is awesome and pares well with a vampire character so to speak flavor wise the only problem i have is with the bolt&barrage spell the cast animaton is odd i would possibly like to see the Bolt&barrage spells Animation/launch/Cast similar to the Normal Missle Spells like firebolt etc and Muted Steps more Similar to the actual Muffle spell a Single Cast Spell that Costs = Ammount of health and lasts a certain ammount of time instead of a Channeled/Continous spell like the Vanilla Equalibrium spell etc. but other wise there very awesome and very Different

you should add a spell that makes a enemy turn to your side whilst you take 5 health damage and have a -30 max health for ten minutes and if you go to less than 10 health points your blood consuming thrall automatically dies (if dieable) and you get half your health back from it or if the ten minutes are up you take 50 health damage and the enemys in a 2 metre raduis around you (if there are any) will take 10 health damage and you gain 10 health from each on that took damage and make this spell cost 200 magica because then you have a need lots of magica and deadly to all spell of destruction!

Ok, for all the lazy people here that can't read above but can read this, the spells can be found near the 3 guardian stones near riverwood, there you can find a person selling the books.
