Description
**DISCONTINUED**

If you're like me, you like the vanilla game mostly just how it is. However it bothered me that only a very small number of people from the list of people you can marry are good/decent enough to marry for the mighty dragonborn.

************************Changes Made************************

1. Went through the entire list of male and female candidates for marriage and edited their appearance with minor tweaks here and there; some more drastic than others. I even left one or two alone because I felt their appearance was just fine the way it was.
2. Changed max level cap from 30/50 to 60 for all follower spouses and hirelings.
3. Changed the confidence behavior of the hirelings from foolhardy to brave.
(Including some spouses; where foolhardy was default.)

*Note: Housecarls were excluded due to one of my other mods covering that area of NPCs.

No DLC or other mods required for use.

************************Update************************
Added new spouses to possible marriages. All of the new spouses (excluding Ingun and Sapphire) are original potential followers from the vanilla game.

-Ingun is NOT a follower, and to marry her you need to complete her quest Few and Far Between.

-To marry Sapphire or to use her as a follower, you must use the console command setrelationshiprank player 4 , as she does not have any quests that improve her relationship with you.

-The appearance of ALL new spouses have been edited. Also, Erik has been moved to new spouses and is now marriage material.

-Illia has been added to possible marriages, this includes an update to her appearance (Illia can be found and earned as a follower at Darklight Tower). Illia can act wonky and will stop being a follower permanantly if you tell her to stop following you. This is not because of my mod, Bethesda still hasn't fixed the issue. I tried to fix this issue personally, but was unable to accomplish a fix. A fix for this bug is beyond my modding skills, as I'm still considered an ametuer modder. I apologize about this. I will let her remain on possible marriages however.

-Fixed the issue of Farkas losing his Skyforge Steel Greatsword during a certain quest where he drops it for some reason. Gave him 3 Skyforge Steel Greatswords as a redundancy to ensure he always has his sword.

************************Guide To Making Your Own Version************************
Dislike how a certain NPC looks or perhaps you want to add your own NPC to the marriage list? Here's how!

First you'll want to go to Library, Tools, download Creation Kit.

You'll then open Creation Kit, go to File, Data, select a master file such as Skyrim.esm or if you have a mod in mind like this one select bettervanillaspouses.esp, for example and check it to active.

Next you'll expand Actors, then click Actor to open the list.

Type in the Filter in the upper left the name of the NPC you want to edit. Double click your NPC from the list.

Feel free to edit stats how you like under the stats tab or etc. For appearance go to Character Gen Morphs and Parts.

To add to marriage list go to Factions tab, right click in the space below and click new. Type marriage in the filter, and double click PotentialMarriageFaction to add it to the list.

To add to follower list, do the same as above except type follower in the filter and add CurrentFollowerFaction and PotentialFollowerFaction. Then click on CurrentFollowerFaction, wait 2 seconds click on the rank number 0 to the left of it. Type in -1, that's negative one.

Click OK in the bottom left after you finish whatever you want to do. Select your NPC from the actor list, and press CTRL F4, then Yes, then OK. Go File and Save after you're all done and close the Creation Kit and enjoy.

Sorry I couldn't update the mod, I had a lot done, just ran into some major problems.

************************Recommended Mods************************
Final Younger Characters from the Nexus site is NOT required, however it does improve the appearance of characters in general and I recommend using it as it does not make the game un~vanilla friendly. For example, it removes the square shadows on the tip of the nose on nords and the excessive wrinkles on everyone in general. (Recommended for Vanilla Body users)

************************Known Conflicts and Compatibilities************************
This mod will conflict with any mod that changes the behavior, stats, or appearance of edited NPCs listed above. This mod should be compatible with texture mods as long as they don't edit the listed NPCs directly. Your results may vary with various mods that alter the general shape of facial features away from vanilla, like Calientes Female Body Mod CBBE for example. This mod was created with the vanilla body users in mind.

************************Special Note************************
This mod is part of an ongoing project of making a line of vanilla body friendly mods for the vanilla body users. Although my mods may work with other unique body mods, I specifically designed my mods to be used with the vanilla bodies. If you're interested in seeing my other works please check out my collection that this mod is a part of. These mods include changes to Housecarls, Spouses, Bards, Jarls and now the Jarl's personal Bodyguards.

Please read each mod's description before use.

I ran into some major issues while testing. I won't be able to update anytime soon unfortunately. So I posted a guide on how to make your own version of my mod in the description. The guide will help you add the NPC you wanted, or edit the appearance to your heart's desire.

I apologize that I had to cancel the update, I didn't want to upload a broken version to you guys.

Currently going through testing with friends. I don't want to upload and ruin the mod incase something bad has happened. Getting a lot of red warnings recently when opening NPCs, not sure why. If something happened to my game, I don't want to pass it on to you guys. I'll update my results here.

If something bad did happen, I'll post a little tutorial guide on how to edit the NPCs yourself so you can add and change/add whomever you like.

@rbeane1~ Reason I put a cap is because their skills max at a certain level and I try to keep their health in balance with the rest of the NPCs/monsters in the game. Right now I'm busy going through a lot of testing to make sure everythings where I want it and working as intended. As for requests for new spouses, I will look into it, but no promises. Many NPCs added as new spouses can act very buggy or not work correctly.
