Description
Adds refrigerated racks to keep food and other perishables cold. Ideal for use in dining rooms, freeing up labour from feeding prisoners, or keeping food on hand for cooks.

As people have been asking, this can be added to an existing save. Removing it from a save may cause issues though...

Comes in both 1x1 and 1x2 versions.

Includes awesome sprites thanks to Shinzy!
Awesome video by BaRKy!

Hey, any chance you can add another version of this mod, to require a research to be completed before these become unlocked. Perhaps (Refrigeration 1000)?

I don't recall fridges or freezer (not walk-in) giving off that much heat at all in reality. It gets slightly warm at the back but not enough to heat up an entire room, let alone a home :T

I suggest you alter the weight of the fridges in order to better compensate for caravan trade. They are far too light for the amount of resources that go into them.

If it's too convenient then don't use it?

Unless this mod is made to heat the surrounding room, like a normal freezer would, it will forever be too-convenient, and remove an entire mechanic of designing and laying out a freezer room. As simple as this mod is it kinda breaks one of the challenges in the game...

Hi nice work ... a must have. I wish the element present in the mod fish industry (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=758810805&searchtext=fish) could be fully integrated, an oyster out of the frigde for example ain t very healthy...

@BlueTressym -- it's more likely that your chef is dropping the meals on the floor when they cook them, and they just happen to land in the fridge. Move the fridge to a corner space, instead of directly adjacent to the chef's work spot. Like:

x O V
M x V

X is empty space to drop meals. O is the chef spot. V is veggie fridge, and M is meat fridge. That way, your chef will drop the meals in either of the x spaces (though it's possible they'll land in the topmost section of the veggie fridge as well, but since it's a double-wide, it won't be as troublesome).

Hi. I used these great fridges to set up the 'efficient kitchen' but for some reason, they don't seem to be listening to the storage instructions. I have it set to store meat in one single fridge next to my stove and veg in a double on the other side.

However, for some reason, they won't put meat in the single fridge (or eggs, either) so my cook is still going into the store to get the eggs and he's putting meals in the fridges, even though I've disabled that.

Any idea what could eb causing this? I've got all the settings on what they're supposed to be; the meal bills, the fridge settings...

Fridges, armor racks, stuff like that we need it in vanilla indeed instead of making tiny stockpiles where they are dropped on the floor... Like July mentioned.

Suggest you to publish your mod here, so it could be maintained by the game developers:

It /must/ become vanilla.
