Thoughts on the design process:
I had wanted to do something more rough and grunge for a while, and since Halloween was just around the corner, my mind went to those festivities & carnivals for inspiration. From those beginnings, I eventually thought of The Day of the Dead - an upcoming Mexican holiday, which amongst other things feature colorful and well decorated 'sugar skulls'. I decided to do my own sugar skull which would be the centerpiece of the skin, keep it relatively grunge and colorful.
