Combat gluttony! Combat, in this instance, is an adjective instead of a noun or a verb - you will not be fighting gluttony, you will be using it for violent ends. Vampires need not apply. Who ever heard of a vampire paladin anyway? [UPDATED]

"Paladinner" is a [NOW WARRIOR] skill tree based around righteousness and a reckless disregard for healthy eating habits. You gain added effects from eating food, but be warned, because the more religious your holy feasting becomes, the more mana it sucks away from you. Holy rituals do not come cheap, after all!

[Apr 22 2013] So, I have finally gotten around to fixing this. Apparently there was a bug where the first skill wouldn't do anything any more? I have changed that so it won't happen. Furthermore, CotWL introduced the "consumeanything" tag, which now is all over Adventuring Chef. I changed it to be a spell that requires mana, though, so it's not like you can spam it willy nilly. Also, it can only grant the lowest heal over time. Furthermore, AT LONG LAST, this is a Warrior skill now. Lastly, the mana-destroying effect of the various skills has been toned down at all levels. It's still there, but it shouldn't take you from full to empty on a cube of meat. [/update.]

UPDATE: Hammer of the Guts is now a buff, which allows you to proc the old PBAoE nuke when you eat something. This means it's now toggleable! Additionally, Holy Roly Poly stacks up to 3 times.

Knight Of The Round Gut: +1 righteousness resist, +1hp, -1 putrefying resist
Depending on how tasty your meal is, gain a little to a lot more regeneration from your food.

Holy Roly Poly: +1 righteousness, +1 necromantic resist, +1hp, -1 toxic resist
Gain a tiny buff (+1) to most stats after consuming an edible product! Includes perception and trap sense, but not craft skills.

A Prayer Before Eating: +1 righteousness resist, +1hp, -1 acidic resist
As everyone bows their head in deference to the Gods, a small, localized, and short-duration silence covers you and those nearby. Don't plan on casting any spells after chowing down!

Divine Feast: +1 righteousness resist, +1 necromantic resist, +1hp, -1 putrefying resist
Awesome! Eating food now gives a direct, immediate heal!

The Flatulence Of The Gods: +1 righteousness resist, +1hp, -1 toxic resist
This one is a little impolite around the dinner table. While well-fed, create a cloud of supernaturally dangerous gases from Krong, the Lutefisk God, or Inconsequentia, with small prizes for effective use! Do NOT try on an empty stomach.

Adventuring Chef: +1 righteousness resist, +1hp, -1 acidic resist
Shove anything down your throat! Swords, knives, full suits of plate mail - nothing can stop your ravenous piehole!

Hammer Of The Guts: +1 righteousness resist, +1 necromantic resist +1hp, -1 putrefying resist, -1 acidic resist, -1 toxic resist
A simple, thoughtless snack or meal will never again be yours to enjoy. The mere act of ingesting is a powerful prayer, calling forth heavenly fury around you (though sometimes they're on break themselves).

After tediously going through my mods, I've determined that this is the mod causing a save corruption issue. I can make a character with this loaded, and play just fine. I can save and quit, and load the character again, too. BUT, if I exit the game, when I next try to load any characters made with this mod loaded, they will be corrupted and it will spew out messages about failing to load random mods.

Like I said, I narrowed it down to Paladinner after much trial and error. I'm sad it was this mod, I really like it. I'm not sure what could be making it do this, because it sounds like more than just a mod conflict since I can make a character in the first place.

Wait, I have a suggestion. Adventuring Chef should have a skill that allows people to eat some objects like crates or grills as well as the normal staffs and swords.

Imagine all the joy I'll have devouring the shiv I started with thanks to this skill!!! Nice skill to use, and Arroyo, this is in the Wizard branch because everyone knows wizards are fat. :3

Guess that works too, honestly i would have been happiest if it stayed as is, just without the knockback bit, as in damage nuke but no knockback. But this works too :D

Well, that wasn't that uncommon a complaint. I finally got around to putting in a way to avoid the eat-nuke. Opinion?

I love this mod, one qualm though is the final power, The aoe is abit annoying since it pushes everything away. makes it quite annoying to eat in rooms sometimes, always haev to find an empty room so i dont ruin puzzles/push stuff around randomly.

I would love for the final triggered explosion to NOT push stuff tbh.

Thanks for the quick reply. Nice, I did not know about the different buff then I really got lucky with the plum. I was thinking that maybe different foods have different buff but never considered that random factor. Of course is not overpowered if it works that way.

Well, I will try to pay attention next time to see what triggered that effect.

As a final note, let me say all your MODs are incredible. The flavor texts are really funny and the concepts are fun to play too.

You probably got super lucky on that plum. Every time you eat a food, you trigger one of 9 buffs which adds more regen. They come in three durations (3, 6, and 10 seconds) and at three different strengths. They also cancel out all other buffs if you eat more food while they're active, so you can't stack the regen. Since the heal boost is unreliable, I don't consider it particularly overpowered.

Secondly, I did not touch any food items whatsoever. If you got separate effects from eating food, it's likely one of the food items from a mod which involves potion effects. I promise that if you do not take Paladinner, your eating will not be affected.
