TUNNEL DIVERS is now out in Early Access!
TUNNEL DIVERS Beta Application
Description
                                                   [spasmangames.com]

TUNNEL DIVERS is a Free to Play top-down space shooter, however space is not really your domain. The Tunnel Divers are a hired group of skilled mercenaries who pilot agile space fighters built to raid areas with close quarters.

Descend into intergalactic mines, invade space stations, cruise crowded planet surfaces and fight your way through megacorp security and to get the job down for your client while uncovering a conspiracy.

Play online and get into fast paced combat with other players, or play through the campaign or custom-made levels with your friends. No pay to win either.

Teaser Demo
Interested? You can give TUNNEL DIVERS a whirl right now! Why listen to me blabber on when you could decide for yourself? Click the button at the top to go to my site to download.

Hold F1 for the controls. In the SOLO mission, find the green square thing and blow it up. Find the exit before the area self destructs (giant gray thing with a circle in the middle). You will need to find the keycards to unlock some doors to get to your objective.

Customize your ship in the options. You can choose 5 ships, each with 2 patterns and a few colors.

The test server will be me hosting a server on a DOGFIGHT map, which is all players against eachother. There is no match end/victory screen, it just goes on forever. I can't guarantee the server won't be empty so you should grab some good pals.

This game is very incomplete, so the test server will be up and down because of crashes, bugs, and things just breaking in general. So if it's not up, check back from time to time.

Fast Paced Combat
As with all my games, I try to deliver fast paced, satisfying gameplay loaded with content and numerous ways to play. Scrap by to survive against the robot horde by scavenging for 20 weapons and choosing up to 5 different ships to use, with more ships on the way. Every ship has it's own "ship module" which gives the ship a unique ability to use while out in the field such as turning invisible or using an auto-locking targetting system.

Multiplayer
TUNNEL DIVERS features fully fledged multiplayer. Play the entire campaign with your friends, or join the ranks and fight eachother in combat. So far, the game has 3 game modes but more will be coming.

I have learned a lot about netcode from my past project and took care of a lot of early mistakes when coding the foundation. A lot of things are server side now and more optimized. Further testing will be made from the public teaser to make sure things like the lag and the hit registration are at their very best.

Free to Play
TUNNEL DIVERS will be free to play. You can play online and play through the whole campaign for free. There will be a DLC package that will unlock extra features, such as ship colors/patterns, the level editor, a DLC campaign and much more (when i think of it!). Those who do not own the DLC can still play custom levels made with the level editor.

As with my past work, TUNNEL DIVERS is NOT PAY TO WIN. Paying for this DLC package will *NOT* grant you an extra advantage over free players when playing online, and never will. This is the Spasman Games promise.

All ships and weapons will be available from the get-go, for all players.

EDIT: Thanks to user feedback and a few ideas, the DLC can cost $5 just like I always do. The idea is I could attempt to sell the musician's soundtrack for him for another $5, giving people a cool soundtrack along with trading cards, without needing to spend $10 to get the whole game. Musician gets some income, you get trading cards, cheap DLC and i get one less headache. Everyone wins.

Ship Customization
Design your ships with colors and patterns. Make a nice looking ship that has complimenting colors or just go out with something loud to really get your enemy's attention.

In the final game, patterns and colors will only be available by buying them through DLC. Free players will remain a boring gray for each of their ships. (Unless it's a team-based game mode)

Level Editor + Level Sharing
By owning the DLC package, you will be able to use the level editor unrestricted. The level editor allows you to place enemies, buttons, doors, items, all to your heart's content. It's easy to use and exercises your imagination by giving you settings from what game mode to use to what "team" the security system is on.

Any custom levels can be instantly shared when players join the server. Make a level, host a server and any player that joins will receive it automatically. No download links required. And if its not working for some reason, the download link option is still available to you as TUNNEL DIVERS will automatically find the level file in your Maps folder if you have it.

Both maps featured in the teaser were made in the level editor.

Conclusion
These are the existing features in TUNNEL DIVERS right now. If you like the way this game is going, I'd appreciate your support.

I need to get this game on Steam as I would like to put heavy use to the Steam API this time around, such as cloud saving and the Workshop and use of Steam profiles. Steam is also a pretty nice place to get your game some attention obviously.

In case you didn't know, this isn't my first rodeo. I already have a game on Steam and I don't like working with publishers (don't think they even want me anyways), so I'm using Greenlight again. I know how the process works and I know exactly what I want and what to do, so you can give me some trust I won't muck things up.

Just like BM, this looks like a great game, Spasman, but I have to ask one question. Is there any way to purchase it as of yet? I'm not trying to sound pushy or anything, but, to be honest, I look forward to this more than any other game in my wish list at the moment. You just seem to have a knack at creating simple but addictive games.

I thought I'd like it when I saw the trailer and stuff. Not sure about the camera in the demo, though, but I'll be sure to get the full version when it comes out.

Spazman just seems to be able to make simple games that are more addictive than crack, and are their own little niche of fun shooter.

This game looks like it'll be no exception.
