====================================

Woodsman's Shack is geared toward a Ranger/Hunter class. It is an exterior home situated in the Fall Forest, near the edge of the river.

When you start your game, there will be a new icon on your map for you to fast travel to your new home. It's located on the edge of the river running through The Rift that leads to Riften. Woodsman's Shack is situated east of Treva's Watch, and south of Rift Watchtower.

The house is set in the exterior of the game world, so there is no loading screen. Currently the home contains the following:

- Storage - All safe to store your items, they do not respawn.
3 Weapon Racks
1 Weapon Plaque (wall mounted)
7 Barrels
2 Chests
1 Apothecary Sack
1 End Table

- Crafting Stations -
(Inside)
Alchemy Tabletop
(Outside)
Tanning Rack
Wood Chopping Block with Woodcutter Axe
Cooking Spit

- Misc gear -
Bed (obviously)
Some Arrows
Hide Armour
Longbow
Mead/Food etc
Rabbits and Pheasants.
Chairs and benches.

Also included is a camp on the river's edge with a bedroll, campfire/cooking spit, fish rack and bench.

= Notes =

I always appreciate any feedback and bug reporting. Please feel free to comment.
As is the general practice of mod usage, please remember to backup your save before using this mod.

= Compatibility and Conflicts =

Compatible with water/texture enhancing mods. Should be compatible with any mods that alter vanilla equipment as I have used almost all vanilla gear.
Will conflict with any mods that alter the cell the house is built, and the immediate surrounding cells (TestForest).

= Also available at =

Skyrim Nexus[skyrim.nexusmods.com]
TES Alliance[tesalliance.org]

= Changes =

Version 1.4 - 16/06/13
- Fixed chest rotation
- Moved duplicate end table to be next to chest
- Moved alchemy barrel to be next to door
- Added a door to the shack
- Lowered some floating bushes around the area.
- Cleaned mod with TES5Edit, removed any dirty and deleted records

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As a compliment to this mod, I recommend using my Hunting in Skyrim mod. It brings a Hunting Guild to the game, and much much more!

It is what it is. But you have the ability to edit the mod in the creation kit and add and anvil yourself :)

try moving this mod up in the load order and then have the large bug fixing and realism mods be the last to load. its easy to adjust load order if you have the nexus mod manager or you can do it through the data files option on steam

could you add an anvil to the outside perhaps? i understand the unreasonableness of a full forge but is an anvil too much?

I'm a big fan of these modest, characterful little player hide-aways, and this one is spot on.

Cheers!

Thanks for the great, great addition which as you said, compliments the hunter's guild mod fantastically (the decision to make the house exterior to avoid load screens is nice, though I have to be more conscious of saving since I don't get the frequent auto-saves that load screens provide).

I imagine you probably made explicit decisions as to what you would and would not include with this hunter's shack, but just in case, I wanted to ask if you've thought about adding some basic smithing equipment to the shack so a lonely hermit hunter can fashion his own arrows without having to travel to town to use a blacksmith's equipment.

I figure the isolated hunter type of person is going to maintain his own weapons and armour, and so a forge and workbench would be good additions to the shack. I would not request the addition of a smelter because that would be outside the scope of a mountain man, I think.

Thoughts?
