Hippy stuff for the soldier doesn't necessarily make sense, but I think that's just one of the things that adds to the charm. If needed, you could always explain it as the Soldier's way of "infiltrating" a Commie/Nazi/Hippy/whatever staging area (Woodstock). Or, perhaps, his response to it. Regardless of how well it fits his personality, it's awesome on several levels.

I think you could rework this as a rock star set. Hippy stuff for soldier doesn't feel right, even when the battle bob exists. Make the hair more viking-y, I suppose, and I'd vote for that too. For now, just the Public Address gets my thumb.

It's a great model, and I think that you should continue to make more models, but this one doesn't really fit the Soldier's personality. Battle Bob was bad enough. Soldier is always wanting to kill hippies, not be one. Anyway, it is a good model, and I think it has the right "TF2 Theme" (it has the same style of art as everything else in TF2).
