Description
Third test chamber.

Medium difficulty.

v1.0:
Initial release.

v1.1:
Made it a little harder.
Made it a little more interesting in design instead of having a "big-box" look. Also this improves framerate slightly on lower-end machines.

Aware. I never liked the outcome of this map. I keep it up to show how crappy it was for my first few maps.

Blech. Uninspired, tedius, and repetitive. And then I missed my landing at the exit. Also, it's possible to get stuck behind the light bridge in the laser room.

It wasn't all that bad despite what you say about it, but that laser relay at the end is glitched out, had the laser going right through it and it didn't let me out. Simple fix, too bad you don't want to. 6.5/10

I agree with most of Scoundrel's points. I like the elements and the way you used them. I also had my shoulders slumped at that moment... Also had this alignment issue, but portal... not your fault I think. Did not really get any "yay" or "wow" moments in this chamber, which I am used to have while playing yours. Found the lining very confusing and unclear. Had no idea what to do with the turrets for a few minutes.Then chose to try the button and it seemed to activate a light bridge, which I could not have known. Even though you seem to know of the problems I still feel like pointing them out. :)

I never really liked the outcome of this chamber. It's my least favorite of my creations. I know of the problems.

I know this was made a "Long" time ago, but I just now got to it. The description of "Long" seems to apply to the amount of walking back and forth that needs to be done. I liked the elements used, and the way they are put together for the most part, but didn't like the long walks to the other end of the chamber. When I realized I had to go back to reset the laser portal after spreading the blue gel along the walls above the acid, my shoulders slumped and I was like "Really?" but I did it anyway. There seems to also be an alignment issue with the laser receptor at the exit. I had a beam running straight through it without activating it. Had to shift the portal higher on the portal surface, nearly outside the receptor before it lit up.

Portal 1 had you do this in an advanced version of the Companion Cube chamber.

I have played over a hundred hours of these maps and never knew that you could place the ball on the standard pressure button. I thought it would roll off. Damn!

Pretty straight forward map. It reminds me of my style. I guess that's why I like it. I'm always afraid to make a really big chamber but you pulled it off well. I kept thinking there was more to the map from looking at the picture but more was not necessary. Well done.
