Description
It's just a showcase map, NO real PUZZLES!
I've tested a new concept, made a simple room to test it, and then detailed it. I also added an optional "objective" to find a way out to the surface (grab the portalgun and go). The outdoor scene is ment for a few second peek, thats why you can't run out...

note: I didnt expected that a tryout concept map can become as popular as an actual map, so I'll definetely make a map based on this idea. But the actual puzzles will not depend on time travel, maybe events (but not objects) in the past affect the future, but it will be mainly for story (if you open a door or activate a panel or turn on/off something in the past, it affects every future, and you can also change things in each timeperiod). I plan multiple timetravel ahead, and every time the room and the area is more decayed, till the very end, where its so destroyed, its almost outdoor. Some puzzle/power fixing and indicators gathering (as in my map #3) to power up the portal again, plus 1-2 almost outdoor area. I was afraid if ppl will not like the idea of an outdoor scene, since it cant fit into the portal story and universe, but it will be a totally different story, so no problem.

To answer some common question:
- I will make a NEW map, since its just a concept showcase level, but become pretty popular
- in my maps whenever a music starts, I display the title in the bottom left corner. They are from game Unreal (1995).
- It was made in Portal 2 SDK: Hammer, about half year ago.
- It was just a concept map made for myself, and I decided that I publish it to workshop to see if players like the idea.
- synching objects thru time is not that simple: If you move a cube in the past, it should change location in the future too (and since the scenes can be a bit different in layout, then some problem can come up where they cant follow eachother). But if you move the cube in the future, it should not change the location of the old one, until you go back and touch it again. So to be safe, its easiert to just "remember" button and door states, and only place a cube in the past (present) if its 100% it can be there in the future (on a button for example). But I will try to make some puzzle involving going thru the gate...
- the fizzler field is needed to prevent moving objects or to place 2 portal in each time, since it could be weird, that you can travel between times using the normal portalgun portals (if I allow placing one in the present and one in the future).

There are 2 way to do it, easiest way is to portal on the floor, but you can just watch the youtube walkthru video... :)

thx, I'll put a reset timer on those buttons, but it was just a concept, if I use the idea on a real map there will be no switches, the portal auto opens and then closes behind or stays open :)
