We've been Greenlit!
Release date: Late 2016
It's a first person VR adventure game!

Discover clues, party with some dead guys and learn the secrets of Dead Bug Creek. You play as an alien explorer in search of "The Ultimate Prize" whose sensors point you towards a dusty, derelict town in the middle of nowhere. When your quest is derailed by a rambunctious young girl named Flora, it becomes clear there is more to this town than it seems. Convene with the locals, explore dark passageways and learn about the strangeness of the human world.

• QUESTING! Be led on an immersive adventure, unraveling mysteries within a hyper stylized world. Uncover the mystery of Lost Dutchman Mine, explore the edges of Dead Bug Creek township, and navigate your way through challenges, puzzles and narrative quests.

• COLLECTING! Wield the P.W.O.P.P.L.E., a device designed especially for wrangling the most elusive of treasures. Zap things with it to send them back to the mothership, near ever closer to the Ultimate Prize, and learn more about what you collect. You can also use collectable, in-game coins to play a number of machines in the game world.

• EXPLORING! Roam the desert landscape and encounter the strange folk who inhabit Dead Bug Creek. Hang around and you'll meet UFO Believers, crotchety old ladies, salty bikers and a few creatures with a special gifts. Each of them with a unique story to tell. Some folks are friendly, some may need your help, and others are just bonkers.

Dead Bug Creek was conceived as a VR project from the very beginning. It’s a free roaming world explored from a first-person perspective and is a seated experience using positional head tracking with game pad input. You are invited to lean into objects closely, peek through open windows, and observe the environment from every angle to solve puzzles and discover secrets hidden throughout the town.

This game would benefit greatly from having non-VR support too, as VR is still a fairly niche market.

We are running the Game Development World Championship and would like to see you participate. It's good for your visibility and won't cost you a penny.

You can check it out at .

You know both valve and oculus have funds in place for devs working on good and interesting looking projects like yours. Have you tried reaching out to either of them. As a guy with an oculus, I'd recommend talking to them.

Is this only VR, because it looks great, but I have no intentions of getting a VR headset in the foreseeable future.
