Basestation FOV Visualizer (+Alignment Lasers!)

A quick and dirty way of visualising the field of view of the basestations. It has one 'laser' at a 45 degree angle upwards for aligning the two basestations optical sync sensors. There's another laser pointing straight ahead for positioning each basestation towards the ground at the proper angle. Simply align the front facing 'laser' to the center of your play area, and the top 'laser' with the other base station while the basestations are powered off.

The primary feature is the Field of View visualization, shown as a two colored field of view cone, coloured two colours for easier viewing and proper orientation. Be sure not to move the Basestations while they're running, remember that there are high speed moving parts inside, and that rotating a basestation while it's on can increase wear on the rotating parts inside.

Also, thanks to all of you for the feedback.

@Lyvondria I'm having the same issue. Can't get this to work either. Same issue. I move the basestation and the whole playspace shifts. I even tried marking the center with a controller but the controller just drifts away after I turn the basestation back on. I'm completely losing my mind right now.

For some reason I am unable to set the basestation skin in Steam settings. All I see is a button to reset to default.

I think its impossible to align them because everytime I move them even if i unplug them from power, my play area moves <.<

But how you know it when you put your base station off? oO I moved mine down while it was off but the app still sticks at the same position...

Yup, you want the main "laser" at a roughly 45 degree angle down, both pointing at the center of the play area. Yup, just shut one down and adjust, then turn it on.

Ah okey got it. So how should I do this? Turn one basestation off and align them both to the center of my play area?

This is probably the easiest way to explain

Im completly lost tbh. Can you accept me and tell me exactly where? In SteamVR Home? I cant find anything in the settings Q_Q What you mean by changing the model?

Hello Lyvondria, you can use it by changing the model for the basestations. You can do this from the steam menu settings in VR (The cog at the bottom right).

I subscribed to it as well and how can I launch it? There is no settings on the camera or something like that on SteamVR
