I think the map also requires a side quest to make it more diverse. At the moment it's very much on the rails.

Yes, this should be possible! I was thinking of adding this. I'll make it shoot at you as the bridge disappears. That way, as soon as you feel you've cleared the bridge you'll have to get around the corner or get bullets in the back.

I wonder, would it be possible to have the turret behind the glass (just before you get the cube) shoot at you on one of the intervals? It might add a nice element of tention to the map.

Fixed up the rendering. The game should now be lit correctly.

Yeah, sorry about the black. It's a rendering issue that stops the lightmaps from working correctly. I'll re-render as soon as a patch is released.

I agree my levels are getting too straightforward - and that's something I'd like to fix. I got too wrapped up with the turrets as characters, and didn't pay enough attention to a puzzle.

The level, for me, was mostly black. Especially the white surfaces.

Whether it's intentional or not, it did make me feel like I was sneaking around a bit, albeit at the expense of being able to see where I was going. Apart from the black, the level is fairly straightforward, save for an interesting contraption made of funnels, cubes, and buttons. Clever.
