Oh,by the way,steam is going to replace greenlight with a new service,so if you want to put your game on greeenlight you better do it fast.

@daeo Hi, daeo! Answering this after two month seems a bit ironic... But we're going to post an announcement on Steam soon. It will contain schedule for 2017: new builds, Greenlight and so on. We're aiming to publish next demo in February next year. Hopefully it'll include voice-over, text in other languages and will be several times longer.

@Strayed Lynx: sorry for our late reply... not much activity here on our Steam concepts page, and it's a real shame we missed it. Anyway, in case you'll wander in to check in on us again - we're using 2D drawn characters for all dialogues, just like in games you mentioned. We also use hand-drawn art in cutscenes, where we combine it with 3D-environments. We also use 3D renders for several instances of characters appearing in game (like Ollie's hologram, or masked woman), but this doesn't happen often and only represents characters in specific environments. So it's safe to say that most of the time, we're going with 2D hand-drawn characters which are done the way you described. We also feel like it's the right way to do it.

And thank you for your appreciation of the project! It's coming along steadily. We're really happy that you liked Ollie... but even happier that someone has finally gave Nod the attention he deserves!

Hi,i've seen that some of the game's characters and assets are drawn with the anime style(large eyes and small,nicely shaped noses) while the 3D character shownin the thumbnail of this page,Ollie's 3D hologram and the 2D sprites of the "masked" characters are rendered or drawn in a more western style,so i wanted to ask what style are you going to use for your characters going forward,personally i would love to see you focus on using the anime style for your characters,since it looks great and has been used in many visual novels as well as games like those of the Danganronpa and Zero Escape series.

Anyway,i wish you the best of luck with your project and much appreciation for creating Ollie,she's truly an adorable character and NOD is really handsome as well.
