About this mod
It adds some alternate starting options which are extended versions the Sol System:

  • planet: Planet Nine
  • dwarf planets: Pluto, Makemake, Haumea, Quaoar, Eris, 2007 OR10, Sedna
  • Saturn moons: Enceladus, Tethys, Dione, Rhea, Iapetus
  • Uranus moons: Ariel, Umbriel, Titania, Oberon
  • Pluto moon: Charon

How to use
You need to edit your starting race before starting a new game and set your starting solar system as one of the new options for this to take effect.

Localisation
The following languages are supported: English, French, German and Russian. None of these is my native language, so feel free to report any grammar errors. New translations for other languages are also always welcome.
Special thanks to zubr3 for providing the Russian translation and MILES TEG for the initial French translation.

Compatibility
This mod does no longer override the vanilla Sol System, so prescripted_species_systems.txt is not affected. Most mods shouldn't really conflict with this mod, but the ones that make specific changes to the Sol System itself will likely have their own version of the Sol System, and these will not be forwarded to the Sol System variants of this mod. In other words, it's either the version of this mod or the one of the other mod, unless you combine them in your own custom Sol System file.

@Daedwartin: Already updated it yesterday. Though you might need to start a new game to see it. Well, the ring at least, it's ellipsoid form might require a new model which is outside of the scope of this mod :p

@Lion don't forget to update Haumea. Not just being egged shaped, it appears to have rings.

Might have been Steam who didn't update the mod properly, since both versions are nearly identical.

If anyone else has trouble with it, please report it.

Hey Lion thanks for the help. I tried your fix but it didn't work.

I did try your 25 tile Earth Version mod, and strangely enough it works for me both in 1.8.0 and the beta, so I don't know. Either way thanks for the quick response. I apologize if I took up space in the comments. I should've posted a thread in Discussions.

There is an old version of my mod on the Paradox forums somewhere if you search for "[MOD] Sol System Expanded" that likely works with pre-1.8.0, but the code for building generation on starting planets changed in 1.8.0. That might be the reason that your system stops generating at Earth, since it gives an error with the new code. What you can do is set your version to either 1.8.0 or the 1.8.1 beta (right click Stellaris and check the betas tab), or look up the older version of my mod on the Paradox forums if you're using an older version.

Sorry forgot to say, I'm at the latest version with all the DLCs.

Do you have this mod in a different website like say Mod DB? I've tried deleting the mod in folder and subscribing again, so it can jumpstart an update but no luck.

@Sho-gun Liquid: The latest version of Stellaris is 1.8.0 (or 1.8.1 if you use the opt-in for the beta), you sure you have the right version of Stellaris? I'm not sure the version of my mod on the Steam Workshop will work on older versions.

Hey Lion. First of all, LOVE YOUR MOD.

Second, I have a weird problem. I don't know if its Windows screwing with me or some conflict with a different mod (Still looking into it).

Everytime I select starting System as Sol Expanded and go into a game, I always end up with the default Sol System (meaning just Venus, Mercury and the asteroid belt). I notice that in my Stellaris launcher your mod is listed as not playable under version 1.1.* (even though your mod page says its compatible with the latest update).... any fix?

@MGC_Snowmech: That's weid, Sol should always be connected to at least Alpha Centauri and Barnard's Star. Are you still using the same settings and mods?
MGC_Snowmech Sep 25 @ 1:08pm
I loaded it up, new start. Is it normal to be isolated, with your mod, and not be able to go to any other the normal systems usually attached to Sol, such as Alpha Centauri. I am stuck in Sol.
