the few encounters ive have had it seems they do try for weapons or your power source.
So in other words or in my case, if i have a turret group of 3, I should remove the one in the middle?
Maybe I would remove some of the missile turrets then, the ammo is much to expensive.
What are metors/pirates/npc aiming for? Player, weapons or decoys? I have placed some decoys with welders for automatic repairr all around the hull to avoid damage on my turrets and critical systems.
the turret count aint that bad tbh then, would have had less and for game mechanic purpose i would place vanilla or mod weapons at least their own placement block as gap between.
vanilla got 3x3 so i would make a 3x gap. so if i place like those yellow u got on the deck there instead of 9 blocks mine would take up 15. explosive dmg or meteors can easy dmg another weapon 2x block away. :)
Joke beside, I only placed some turret groups in the building stage to guarantee the cover if the ship will be attacked by evil meteors or stupid pirates. The amount of all Turrets was not planed, I see it on my status LCD.
