How to Find Servers Without Installing Third-Party Patches

Finding Servers

You can search and filter servers using this link. http://www.gametracker.com/search/cod4/? Then, you should copy the ip address of the server you want to join.

Joining Servers

After you copy the IP address of the server, switch back to the game using alt-tab and you should press the tilde key which is located between ESC and TAB to open the console. Then, you should type:

/connect

and paste the IP address.

It should look like this:

/connect 192.168.1.1

This way, you can avoid using potentially harmful third-party software and patches, and avoid risking allowing free access to your router.

Also, don't forget to boycott recently released Call of Duty titles.

«potentially harmful third-party software and patches» now this is someone who doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. COD4x isn't the devil, and it's the actual community response for activision when they pulled out the plug on the master servers. I wholly agree with the final statement, though.

Did I kjust read that right? Just install COD 4x? Ha ha this isn't even a legit Patch. It is a third party Fan Patch that some rando user made to allow us more Client privilages, and better server administration. It has nothing to do with Infinity ward. There is actually less security in COD 4x and it has to be that way to allow access to the benefits to it.
