Status Update - Demo Coming Soon
Hard at Work
We've been watching DYE slowly work it's way up the Greenlight rankings. Thank you to everyone that's voted! We appreciate the support. While we're waiting for Greenlight, we're still hard at work.

Demo Coming Soon
We're focusing on completing the demo so that you guys can actually try the game. There are a lot of small details that are still being ironed out but we're close. The demo contains 6 levels that showcase our level variety and will give the player a good sense of what DYE is about. Alongside the demo release we'll be releasing a DYE Alpha EP (for free on Bandcamp and YouTube) which has 6 musical tracks from the game.

Intro Cutscene
Over the weekend we completed the intro cutscene that helps tell the story of DYE. Some of the feedback we received from the community is that our Greenlight trailer doesn't do a great job of telling the story. With the demo release, we'll also recut the trailer to help explain the story and the color mechanic.

Engine Updating
We developed DYE on Unity3d 4.6. Unity dropped support for 4.X in January to focus their efforts on 5.X. We waited as long as we could but decided to go ahead and move to Unity 5.3.4. The porting process was tedious but all things considered went smoothly. Everything is running smoothly again, and now we'll have the latest and greatest to hopefully avoid any potential issues down the line.

Thanks again for the votes! We're excited to show off DYE, so the demo will be coming to and indiedb very soon.

Release date: Late Summer / Early Fall 2016
DYE is a challenging 2D platformer where you help Hue rescue Pigments and restore color to the world! Inspired by skill based platformers, DYE strives to provide a rewarding gameplay experience through a series of challenging obstacles.

The DYE alpha demo is now available on for free!

The DYE alpha demo soundtrack is also available for free via bandcamp.

  • 56 levels across 4 worlds
  • Normal and Hard Mode versions of each level
  • 5 unique boss fights
  • Full controller support
  • 16 track original soundtrack
  • Achievements
  • Trading Cards

DYE is still under active development and we're on track to finish sometime late this summer. We're in the final stages of putting things together. Code, mechanics, levels and UI work are all complete. We are putting the final touches on art assets, soundtrack, and general improvements.

We're focusing our efforts initially towards a PC release with Mac and Linux (including SteamOS) to follow shortly thereafter. Expect a demo in the coming weeks.

We appreciate your support and hope that you'll vote for DYE.
