Description
Release date: Fall 2016
Learn HTML and CSS in the context of a 2D platformer! No coding skills needed. Simply carry the tags around the screen and watch your website render in real-time. Match your work-in-progress with the preview to pass each level. The final game will include:
  • Over 100 levels/exercises
  • HTML mode that covers basic tags like A, IMG, STRONG, and EM
  • HTML + CSS mode for more advanced markup
  • Local co-op (CSS mode only)
  • Free Play mode with option to export your levels to actual HTML files
  • Steam achievements and trading cards

Note: Super Markup Man is based on a browser game of the same name, which can be played at markup.roppychop.com. However, this is a full remake with new assets and many more features.

I'd have my kids play this to teach them web development basics!

It´s an original idea. I would like to play this game.

Hey, Randomdude. Yes, the remake will not only feature more levels but will introduce CSS and how to use it with the SPAN and DIV tags.

I completed the browser one, found it really easy as I've done some HTML before. Hopefully this one will be more complex.

Interesting, but I don't know how long it would stay fun. I would have to play it, but it is a cool concept.

Brilliant! I love learning stuff like this (Not web development) when I don't feel like playing. Steam needs learning games.
