Description
From the developer of Offline Raid Protection

PvP Safe Zones
Pillar structure Admins can spawn and place to provide an AOE that shields players, tamed dino's, and structures, from damage. Useful for community area's, such as community forums/forges/hatcheries/safe storage.

Protected players and tamed dinos cannot be carried by flyers. They must leave the Force Field to be carried again.

Wild dinos do not get protected, so that you may still kill them to clear out the area. Don't want a T-Rex that you just cant get rid of, do you?

There is no Engram for this. The item MUST be spawned in. Also, only Admins can pickup this pillar as well!

Options configured through UI activated through MultiUse Radial. Must have admin star enabled to see the option


GUS.ini Settings

[PvPSafeZones] UseINIGlobalSettings=False BuffDelay=60.0 DebuffDelay=60.0 DontBuffPlayers=False DontBuffDinos=False DontBuffStructures=False


UseINIGlobalSettings - Overrides all pillar settings (except AOE Radius) and uses the INI settings as you define. You must set this to True to have any of the further INI settings take effect.

BuffDelay - How long to delay after detection before buffing the player/tamed dino/structure.

DebuffDelay - How long to delay after detection before debuffing the player/tamed dino/structure.

DontBuffPlayers - If Ture, ignores Player pawns in the detection method.

DontBuffDinos - If True, ignores Tamed Dino pawns in the detection method.

DontBuffStructures - If True, ignores Structures in the detection method.

AOE Radius is still set independently through the UI on each pillar.




We do not support any 3rd party mod installation methods. The ONLY approved method is copying the folder and .mod file from a game client!! You are more than likey going to have issues if you use a server manager to download and install mods!! This is not just this mod, but all mods. Server manager softwares do not create the correct .mod file, nor place them in the correct location for the server!

This mod is feature complete now. No further updates will be made except to address bugs or newer ARK versions.

No, there will not be a PvP Battle Zones mod coming any time soon. The dev kit does not support this at this time

more shields in the map and more dinos and structures in that shields makes increasement of the server side response and causes to more ping latency. I think this is not the mod's problem this is ark's optimisation problem. Because more things has more values if they are floating and going outside or inside of the shield it repetadly writes some values for every unit and makes server side extra work to do. This mod's best usage scenerio is protecting limited areas such as two or three. maybe for admin bases, (I prefer OSM) , market area, trading areas, event areas after the events etc not for protecting the player tribes.

We Still have the same problem with the ping peaks. We also contactet the owner and now he added (discontinued) to the name. We Would even donate for, if the mod gets updated and fixes the issue. because the idea of the mod is awesome

Anyone still run this mod? I want to use it to protect one building per area per tribe as a sort of indestructible "starter" area for a tribe.

I hope the Modder will read this.
There is a Performance issue with this mod. If there are to many Struktures on the Area wich is protected. The Ping will rais up from 18/20 to 80/150 in seconds and drop again and rais and drop and so on.

Is this a viable option to place on player bases to lets say give temporary raid protection after they have been wiped out? Does anyone use this for this purpose, if so, describe your setup/process.

I tested this again today. It protects structures from other players, but not wild dinos. So that means an extinction event and wild dinos would destroy the builds. I had hoped from building protection 100% for my admin buildings used throughout the server maps. Any ideas if this could be setup that way somehow?
Running this mod on fresh wiped ragnerok server ; 103.62.51.7:8037 . Active Admins. Type Purge Gaming in unoffical Server. Helpfull mods all balanced. A special no pvp 24 hour zone for new players
