Gotcha (Flank Preview Evolved)

Gotcha expands on XCOM 2's Line Of Sight indicator, adding the ability to anticipate if a move will flank an enemy, if they are visible through squadsight, and when mission objectives will be in view to either hack or shoot at.

Latest Update
  • New Feature: Units spotted via Battle Scanners or Scanning Protocol should now display line of sight icons.
  • Fixed the line of sight icons flickering when quickly moving the mouse.
  • Fixed a vanilla game bug where dark VIPs were using the wrong indicator arrow icon, the friendly VIP icon (blue bust with XCOM logo), instead of the appropriate dark VIP icon (red alien bust). This is so we can use our own custom icons for spotted and squadsight status against a dark VIP. Happy assassinations, everyone!
  • Line of sight icons are now temporarily suppressed when the over the shoulder camera is active, since they are not representative of the unit's current location.
  • Turned down the suck on predictions involving peek flanking. This should resolve a few instances where the wrong icon was shown.

Compatability & Troubleshooting
  • This mod overrides the class UIUnitFlagManager, and so will conflict with any other mod that overrides the same class. Note that this is a different class than UIUnitFlag, and so it does NOT currently conflict with mods like Numeric Health Display.
  • If you're having trouble with the mod, the most likely culprit is a bad config. Bountygiver has an excellent (and short) guide on resolving these types of problems.

Feedback is always appreciated!

Any chance we can get .ini options to enable squadsight indicators for different classes? Specialists use squadsight for haywire.

@hamis'hakan: I'm using this mod http://Cost Based Ability Colors and this LW2: ShowMeTheSkills Revived , todayall 3 of them stopped working, over at show me the skills the creator suggested deliting configs and rebuilding them, that might help, I'm in the process of doing so right now myself.

Looks like the indicators don't take into account situations where the soldier is forced to 'step out' from a tile in a certain direction. Or is prevented to step out in the direction where flanking would be achieved, for example by a wall, or a rock in the way.

Hopefully there is a fix for this! Great mod otherwise.

I;ve subscribed to this mod, enabled it on the splash screen, but i'm getting none of the indications I was expecting. I'm using LW2 and no other interface mods.

Ok I just solved this mod not working correctly with the oddest fix. I had my videocard power set to Adaptive. Putting it to Full Performance all the time seems to do the trick, the flank yellow icons are back. That stuff is just voodoo.

I hate it when Gotcha lies to me and tells me I can hack from a spot and then when I get there, I can't!

It already does that.

Great mod, possible to do this for hackable objects as well?
