Deep in the nightmares of a girl, NOOZh is a Storyteller/Dungeon crawler with endless levels containing mysteries, traps and puzzles.

NOOZh is a well balanced mixture between a storyteller and a dungeon crawler. In the game, the daily life of a real girl is mixed with, and affected by the nightmarish world of NOOZh she enters when sleeping.

The Dungeon Crawling side of the game has gigantic generative platformer levels to roam, with only a cell phone screen as a source of light to guide the way. The goal in this aspect is to try and escape the evil that inhabits the dungeons while walking, running and jumping. To do this you must try to avoid the traps set on the level and solve the puzzles to escape. Also, you will need to find the keys to unlock doors to find passage to other levels and to safety!

In the real life side, you must guide the girl through her daily life. Choosing what she does affects the game in many possible ways. The decisions you make in the real world affect the world of NOOZh. The girl's psychology is altered by the events that happen within the NOOZh world and in her real life. This psychological changes will be reflected in her daily life. Some events will happen randomly in her life for no apparent reason, just because it's her life. So, although some parts of her life you can control, others you can´t. This will give the girl a real character feel.

You must also find scrolls to complete the story on what NOOZh is and how it came to be.

The gameplay style is oriented to Play as much as you want: the game is endless. Generative levels create a unique experience every time the game is played.

Everyone has nightmares, but they are specially terrifying for kids. In this case one of our teammates’ daughter was having recurring nightmares that were keeping her awake at night. Her nightmares included being in different scenarios, constantly chased by a dark monster. It was the same monster over and over, chasing her without rest. She called this dark character NOOZh.

So in this case we chose to turn this awful nightmares she was having into a video game. And we thought it was a great idea for a Storyteller game, a girl who is chased by a monster that appears in her nightmares. And most of all, how this affects her daily life.

The game also turns into a real life experience through it’s Lore. Information hidden in blogs, forums and comments, take the game experience into the everyday life in a complete circle. watching this information take shape and evolve across different formats along with the game. We created a whole world of information surrounding NOOZh. Origin stories, multiple theories on what NOOZh is and extensive literature on the subject, to give it a great context.


- Unique storyteller construct based on psychological progress, where the narrative structure can't be undone.

- Hundreds of puzzles, clues and riddles that'll keep you on your toes for hours on end.

- Great variety of aesthetic universes. They vary through the cultural consuming choices and the girl’s psychological development.

- Make decisions to thicken the plot, as you choose yor own path.

- NOOZh will allways be chasing you, even if he sometimes likes to play hide and seek. Your only source of light is your cell-phone, but facing NOOZh is folly. RUN.

- Randomly generated levels mean you'll never encounter the same one twice. Environmental changes reflect the season and the weather around the character.

- An explorational goal, directed at the development and comprehension of the character itself. In her existence and in the relationship with what surrounds her and what she dreams.

- A room and a world to explore, to reveal and personalize, filled with opportunities and unique moments. Collectible items, stylish decorative objects, cultural consumption (books, internet) that not only allows you to personalize the room, but also influence the game.

- The character has an existence per se, that will lead us to find her crying over a loss, motivated about a new job or alone and desperate.

- Ambient music that reacts to what is happening.

- Progressive difficulty, where the levels get increasingly harder the more puzzles you solve

- Simplicity, undefined rules but in a precise system, it’s just sit and play.

- Generative system that guarantees defiant structures to solve, to find the exit from the levels.

- Randomized modes add an incontrolable factor to the adventure, bringing life to the character.

- Various contextual animations that give the game depth and make the experiences and encounters unique at every moment. Surprise and the fear of not knowing what or when it is coming.

- The NOOZh has an AI that makes it unique, it is not a classic game enemy. It is someone that will accompany us as a nightmare until we can’t stand it no more.
