Hide Notifications and/or Inventory
By drawken
Tired of the immersion breaking notifications or the constantly visible inventory? Well, now those features can be turned off once and for all! You can choose weather you want to hide one, the other, or both.

Install folder (Most common location)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Wolf Among Us\Pack
Files don't overwrite anything, so there's no need to backup any files.
Hide Notifications
Extract one ui_hud_notification.scene from one of the folders in the .zip to the Pack folder.
Each subsequent file adds on to the previous feature listed.
  1. NoNotif - No "[Character] will remember" Notifications

  2. AddsNoBook - adds No "New Book of Fables entry unlocked" overlay

  3. AddsNoSave - adds No Saving overlay

  4. AddsNoBack - adds No "Back Out" overlay

  5. If there's a combination I didn't make that you would prefer, make a request in the comments.
Hide Inventory
  1. Extract ui_inventory.scene to the Pack folder.
Uninstall
Delete ui_inventory.scene and/or the ui_hud_notification.scene from the Pack folder.

I suppsoe you would want to look at
ui_dialogBox.scene in Fables_pc_Project_all.ttarch2
or
ui_dialog.scene in Fables_pc_Fables101_data.ttarch2

It's been quite a while since I did this, so had to recheck the files.
(BTW, this is kinda "hacky".)
I extracted the files using TTARCHEXT (https://aluigi.altervista.org/search.php?src=ttarch)
I then opened the .scene files in a hex editor (HxD).
-
For ui_inventory.scene,
I added to the byte 4 bytes to the left of plain text things like:
ui_inventory_background
ui_inventory_icon1
ui_inventory_icon2
etc.
-
For ui_hud_notification.scene:
ui_hud_notification_save_icon
ui_hud_notificiation_fablespedia_background
etc.
-
It's my understanding this breaks the drawing of those things.
(I'm no expert as to the"why", just experimented until it gave me the desired effect.)
-
Not sure if you can achieve your goal using this method, but thee's no harm trying.
(FYI, files extracted .ttarch2 files can be dropped right into the "Pack" folder. The game will use those instead of what's in the .ttarch2.)

How did you manage to do this? I'm looking to resize/hide the dialogue box, but Telltale games are anything but mod friendly.

Yes. As stated in the directions above:
"Each subsequent file adds on to the previous feature listed."

For those few who play on Linux (just my case)
The location of "Pack" directory is "~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/The Wolf Among Us/Pack". Have fun!
For the author: thanks) You saved my experience. Always preferred playing without user interfaces for two reasons:
First thing first, UIs are really useless for games like this;
Secondly, they ruin just ruin all the atmosphere and your attempts to dive into the story

:steamthis: Let me vote for it to officially become a part of the game. :steamthis:

Man, thank you for fixing something that should have been in the game options. Now it feels immersive.

File is no longer available, is there any chance for a new link / reupload? Cheers!
