The Caldecott Caper

The lowest form of life in the Sixth World is that of the corporate rent-a-cop. You are paid a paltry wage for the privilege of defending the megacorps' ostentatious wealth from the desperate gangers of the Orkland Sprawl. Enter a world of turmoil, greed, and violence, as you struggle for survival with the help of a few hand-picked allies.

Return to the San Francisco Bay Area in this new campaign for Shadowrun: Hong Kong, set several years after the conclusion of Antumbra Saga. Features include:
 • Story-driven gameplay. Your character’s personal tale will develop as the plot advances.
 • Recruit a small core of talented mercenaries and gain their loyalty. They will pay attention to your words and actions, and won’t always agree with you.
 • Make meaningful choices throughout the course of the campaign. The story is semi-linear, but you’ll find sometimes-surprising consequences to the decisions you make.

Ganbatte kudasai, and enjoy your return to CalFree!

This campaign is complete and running smoothly for most players. If you run across any bugs, please report them to the bug thread so I can squash 'em!

Please use spoiler tags when discussing plot. They look like this:
I can't believe that
Hans Brackhaus was Lofwyr all along
!

Finally, if you enjoy The Caldecott Caper, please help spread the word! I'm awful at marketing, so I'll greatly appreciate any tweets, tumblr posts, or other forms of signal-boosting. Even a simple thumbs up on this page will make the Caper more visible within Steam and help other players discover it. Thank you!

This is an amazing expansion! There is so much to praise, but thankfully it seems other posters have said it for me :-)
I really appriciate the detail in every nook of this campaign, visually and through writing. The characters having different spech patterns and such was well done, which I suspect is difficult to pull off without appearing forced!
I enjoyed it so much I'm reinstalling Dragonfall to play your previous saga. I'm looking forward to experiencing it. Please continue to create! Wherever or whatever you make next isn't so important (follow your dreams ;-)) as long as you keep up the good work! You are damn good at making Sharowrun campaigns.

Just finished both Antumbra Saga and The Caldecott Caper. Incredibly engaging and incredibly (Northern) Californian. The charcters were great and the endings land. Would look forward to any future works.

I've yet to finish the story, but it's already by-and-large a favorite. Thank you so much for making this and sharing it with all of us!

I think it'd be fun to do some sort of colobration... Though being an alpha tester for one of your projects wouldn't be a bad "second" place. :)

Lemme know either way.

Not gonna lie, I played this WAY back, then went back to it to replay it recently after having binged Shadowrun again.

Hands down one of my favorite campaigns, and this from one of the silent folks who played your Dragonfall content - The improvement is night and day.

Little things like being able to define the character and feel like we're a part of it, instead of a faceless agent of change did wonders for immersion, and I loved out interactions with the Doctor. Not only that, but I love that there was an opportunity for a bit of nookie. :P Crew interactions are my jam.

I only got one question; Y'got more o'them campaigns? I need a fix. :D

Howdy! A hearty “thank you!” to all the players who have dropped by to subscribe, rate, and comment on this campaign. Your support means a lot to me.

@BikerViking: Haha, thanks! Glad you liked it!

@DaveOfDeath: Thanks again for the support & the offer! I’ve been really impressed by your excellent work. No plans to collaborate at the moment, but I’ll let you know if and when that changes. At the very least, I’m sure I’ll be looking for alpha testers for any hypothetical future project.

@kenkerr: Glad you liked it! Yeah, it took a super-long time to make this, but the response makes it feel worthwhile.

@tranz2deep: Nice work! I don’t think many players have found that outcome.
