LOD Toggler

Press CTRL + '.' to toggle the LOD distance check. This has several effects:

  • Increases the building LOD render distance
  • Increases the tree LOD render distance
  • Increases the prop render distance (a little bit)
  • Increases the cim and vehicle render distance
  • Increases the network LOD render distance

You will still see a LOD when you zoom out very far.

Useful in combination with Dynamic Resolution, Isometric Camera and Random Tree Rotation.

Extra feature for asset creators: Press CTRL + Alt + '.' to display the LOD model at any distance!

Note: I'm not taking donations, but others do ;)

It seems this MOD no longer works? Does anyone know any fixes for this?

Hmmm, tree LOD distance was always kind of limited

Mod still works fine for toggling buildings/props after Green Cities but it doesn't work for trees, thought I think that's been "broken" for a while. Adaptive Prop Visibility has the same issue, must have stopped working after an update a while back.

Anyone tried this mod after green cities?

no idea

Hi is it possible that the mod no longer works? I pressed the Ctrl+. and nothing changed. Thanks a lot.

This doesn't use GPU (I have 2 x GTX 1080ti that doesn't even notice this mod, and I don't think CS uses the GPU at all) nor does it use CPU (I can hardly notice any changes in the utilization, neither overall nor on a single core or hyperthread), it just lags insanely.

my computer will definitely not like this mod lol but sounds good

The load increases exponentially when you zoom out (until the final hardcoded LOD kicks in).

Unless it's the Ring BUS that's not it either. I have a 5930k at 4.3 GHz which has no threads even close to 100% utilization. I should try overclocking the ring BUS and see if that helps. I am wondering if it might be tied to RAM speed.
