ColdNite Satellite Valentine's Day Progress Update
Name Change, Why we're not on the Store yet (and why this is a good thing)!
Description
Release date: Available Now at: http://codybean1.itch.io/christmas-satellite
ColdNite Satellite is a loosely Christmas-themed First-Person Adventure game, where you navigate the world using a strange, unique gun that shifts your personal gravity towards the surfaces you shot at.

Christmas Satellite is now available on itch.io! Buying it there gets you the Steam Version once it is available! Same goes for the Soundtrack! Get it here: http://codybean1.itch.io/christmas-satellite

Shooting the ceiling will send you upwards, shooting the walls sends you falling sideways, and shooting the floor doesn't do much. Combine this with a movement system that rewards constant forward momentum, as well as a lock-on targeting system, and we'll be going places!

With this crazy gun, you explore the equally crazy Spacewaves; a directionless plane of existence with chunks of land floating in all angles. It's Christmas Time in the Spacewaves, but something's up, and we're gonna need your help if anyone's going to wake up happy! Featuring a colorful world that begs to be traversed, as well as a vibrant, equally colorful soundtrack, Christmas Satellite is going to be right up somebody's alley (or down it)!

During the holidays, there is a satellite radio station that broadcasts nothing but Christmas music, simply named 'Christmas Satellite'. It would normally be broadcasting right about now, but the satellite itself has gone missing! Without that satellite, all of space will be missing out on the seasonal holiday jingles! Your job is to find each missing piece of Christmas Satellite, and go up and down and all around in your quest to complete the satellite and restore the spirit of the season! Get at it chief!

"It's like a VVVVVV but in 3D. I like it."

"So... it's Portal with gravity?"

"Reminds me of Super Mario Galaxy, but with guns."

"The music reminds me of Jet Set Radio."

"The robot looks hot."

We're looking forward to what you've got to say.

@SirLagsalott Christmas Satellite was released on itch.io in December 2015. While good, I felt that iteration of the game was too short to sell as a Steam game, so I held back on releasing it on Steam.

Today, it now exists as a non-Christmas-related game (now called Wayside Satellite) that is still in development. This version is a much grander project that has the same basic premise but its taking some time to develop. I released two smaller projects between Christmas Satellite's itch.io release and now ( here [codybean1.itch.io], and here , both free) and am now working full-time on the Wayside Satellite. Expect some media on what Wayside is looking like in the coming months. I aim to impress. :)

I was showing my wife your game after your latest announcement, and as I was describing it I realized how brilliantly original and fun this game is. A real indie gem!

Hi, I am a newbie soundtrack composer. I made a demo reel. Do you think my music is good enough for your game? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pA7fQzZ9gUU Thank you, sincerelly. cga.sound@gmail.com

@Sacatuki you can use the left analog stick to move, but there is no controller support beyond that. It plays just fine with Mouse and Keyboard however!
