Network Skins (Mass Transit compatible)

The first 2 modules of a network skinning mod:
  • Select the pillars of your bridges
  • Select the street lights of your roads
  • Select roadside trees
The mod supports roads, train tracks and pedestrian paths. All features can be selected per segment.

Planned Features (Module 3 and 4):
  • Set the distance between street lights/trees
  • Custom road textures (e.g. cobblestone roads, brick roads)
  • Remove power wires of train tracks
  • Custom power lines (e.g. wooden poles)
  • Custom bridge meshes (SC4-like bridge selection)

How it works:
  • Movable customizer window that only pops up when you use the network tool
  • This mod will only apply visual changes and can be disabled at any time without breaking saves

The mod supports custom street lights created by modellers:

To create your own, look at this tutorial[].

The mod also supports custom pillars created by modellers:

More can be found in the forum thread below the description!

Supported Mods:
  • Network Extensions
  • Fine Road Heights (It is important that you subscribed to the official workshop item. Outdated versions for offline use are not supported!)
  • Precision Engineering
  • Sharp Junction Angles
  • No Pillars (though it sometimes messes up the pillar selection)

Known Incompatibilities
  • "Vanilla Trees Remover" interferes with the pillar replacement feature

For the second time now in this city all the network skinned roads revert to default. At the same time surface painter acts up. Now, I'm not asking for bug support because I have a big mix of mods and assets and identifying the cause will most likely take the fun out of the game for me.

Anyone else that have had this and know how to solve it?

@boformer Where are the Network skins settings and changes saved. Is it in the save file (= that could have been corrupted) or is there a separate config file somewhere?

I get fps stutter every 2-3 seconds when this mod is enabled. :(

I wish, if possible, there were a faster way to scroll through all the options. Either by faster scroll speeds, or if it was alphabetically ordered and we could hit a letter to jump closer to the skin we want.

This mod is great except for the big FPS hit. :(

If I use this mod then the No more pillars mod is missing one of its menus, virtually no functionality. Remove this mod and the the pillars mod works fine.
Just a heads up if this causes the same issue for others.

This mod still works great for me. I don't use the built-in road editor. Don't even know how to access it if I wanted itl.

same issue as TheNetrobin

I guess the mod has been abandoned in favour of the built-in Road Editor.

This mod creates regular (every 10-20s) stutters in my game for some reason.
