Izanami becomes bored with her usual sitting around the house, shut-in, lifestyle. So, she meets up with her friends Eione, Florine, and Lauressa. They then decide to show her a magical stone from their homeland, with the power to turn her thoughts into reality. Izanami then begins to put it to use, by bringing to life her own Danmaku! (Also known as a Bullet Hell) She creates 4 loyal minions, and their ships to begin her devious plot. When the girls come back, they find she has left them ships to chase after her, with a note, declaring her desire to take over the moon!

This is a parody game featuring 3 playable characters, 1 hidden character, 4 difficulties, 5 levels, and a built in level editor! Other features, include highscore, music room and practice modes.

This game is active development, and will be available early 2016!

About the Creator
All artwork, music and code were developed by myself, DJ JAW. The DBA I have for publishing the game is Studio JAW. I have worked as a web application developer for my career, but I haven't been able to find a job recently. So in June of 2015 I began work on this game. It is extremely low budget, as in I have been creating this game with tools I already had and with no compensation. Friends and family have been supporting me while I work on this game.

As a DJ, I do micro parties at anime conventions, I remix Touhou music, and at times, play for a local club. i also have a degree in Graphic Design.

About the Concept
The game was heavily inspired by the Touhou Project; However, this is a parody game that makes a few jokes about the genre and the quirks of the characters. The game's art is intended to be Cartoony/Campy and psychedelic, as the running theme of the game is, "Dream". I do take a lot of personal aspiration in being like the creator of the Touhou Project series himself, by leading a project on my own in the best way that I can, with so little time to do it. The game is also meant to be heavily modded. It includes a level editor, but may also be fully modded into a whole different game. I hope to see many people take this game, and create their own shoot 'em up games using this engine.

Technical Stuff
This game uses a completely custom engine that I have written. It is how I achieve 1080p graphics with full screen bullet rendering. It is designed with heavy optimizations that are commonly discussed by makers of games like this. But uses a rare multi-threaded design pattern for bullet logic. The only outside libraries are open source utilities such as libmad, libogg, libtruetype and SDL. Beyond that no framework is used, and a lean engine was developed. The game is rendered with Open GL, so I can do special blending effects. The level editor uses a custom scripting language I designed to make it easier to design levels, at least for me. A lot of the design of this game, comes from what I have learned about making tools like this in the world of web application development. Some of the concepts are from the world game modding, and experience from working on DigiBand. DigiBand was a simulator of Guitar Freaks and Drum Mania (Now known as GitaDora), much like how Stepmania was a simulator of Dance Dance Revolution.

It is also possible to easily port this game to Linux, as all of the technologies used are open source. More will be announced on that at a future date.

Voted yes and looking forward to play this game on steam. I thought this was a doujin game of Toho project when I first see the cover. And I would prefer to use models of girls instead of spaceships. Anyway it's very fascinating to me.

I'm not a fan of this genre, and yeah the art could use some polish. However the game play seems rather solid, so I hope by improving the first problems this can end up as a pretty good game....if priced right. So I voted yes.

Not really. The problem has mostly been exposure.
However; we plan to do a polishing phase, in that may be it's artwork preventing said exposure.
