Some Garbage addons for playing a garbage game.

Yeah you guessed it the map series that never dies got yet another update. This particular update is for EvoCity 2. This is actually a fairly minor update but it tries to address some of the most common issues people had with the map. Also don't ask about v3p or v4p. v3p... was a mistake, v4p did not work well.

The biggest change is that it is now day/night compatible. It uses the same setup as v4b1 v33x etc. If you want to manually change it from day to night just use ent_fire. The sun_light entity is the daylight. Then you can change everything else using the ingame entities as the skybox uses skypaint. Other updates for day night include street lamps and some outdoor lights on structures. Not all have lights for night time but I ran out of entities so too bad.

What else changed? Well there is now a fire department, impound lot and small warehouse where the power plant was. The houses have updated kitchens and the single story house now has a light in the garage so you can see. There was also major changes to the elevator system in the Government Center. There are now 2 independent elevators since people complain about how slow they are. There is also a fully detailed out elevator shaft and maintenance access. This includes a nice ladder to kill yourself with if you fall off. There are also 2 panels on the ground floor of the shaft. What these do is call the elevator to the second floor since people tend to lock the elevator on the ground floor and it doesn't reopen due to my failures of creating good logic systems. Courthouse and FBI offices added. Jail is still the same.

Two new restauraunts were added since I added the shops from v4b1 in place of the high rise and computer store. One is next to Nathan Drugs, and the other is in the ground floor of the Minnesota building, which is the smaller tower on Main St. That building also had some minor changes to lighting and added doors to the 2 shops on the ground floor. It does still have the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥ one floor at a time elevator but oh well. Cub is still the empty pile of♥♥♥♥♥♥it always has been no change there apart from the logo not being a big white box anymore. TTC downtown got a refurbished bank. Big Bill Hells is back, yeah theres a new EvoCity 3 model in there. The hospital received minor changes as well. Floating trees were grounded. Other minor tweaks.

So all in all not a huge update but it will hopefully help keep people playing EvoCity while EvoCity 3's progress continues since it is taking so damn long.

Oh and I almost forgot, it's actually on workshop! So yeah no more missing download links... lets hope. It is 3 parts. You need all 3 of them to get the map working. Also how am i supposed to know what signs are the Evocity names and signs are not. Like near the suburbs there is a tram station with 2 street signs. When i loaded the map it said a street name that i forgot and the other time i loaded the map it said Grif. Is Grif meant to show on the tram sign or is something else meant to?

I really doubt that you did this but... what year does Evocity take place in? To me it looks like it takes place in 2008 for some reason but anyways if i am wrong please correct me.

Hi Trainstick,

Rockford used the same models I created for the street signs and statua reskinned them. Due to the nature of gmod's amazing mod loader that doesnt allow one mod to take priority over another it can be random which textures show up. In order to always get the correct EvoCity street names in EvoCity you must uninstall or disable the rockford addon(s) and reenable when you wish to use it agan. If this doesn't work you have to delete the actual workshop file from your addons folder in garrysmod. Most of the time however what you described usually happens though.

So if i load Rockford THEN Evocity the road signs in Evocity will say Rockfords street names? If so does that mean if i load Evocity without loading Rockford the signs will be correct? Does that also mean that if i load Evocity THEN Rockford the signs in Rockford will read Evocity street Names? Say "Yes" if i am right. Say "No" if i am wrong.

For some reason this map and the content packs will not download for me. they say they are downloading but never get into my addons folder. Other workshop files work fine.
