Internet Friendly Media Encoder
Oct 11, 2015 @ 12:12pm
Jan 24, 2016 @ 1:25pm
Release date: Late Febuary 2016
Internet Friendly Media Encoder is a future video encoder which is capable to compress up to 50% smaller bit-rate compared current generation video compression while quality is equal, this mean You can shrink file size & quality remain the same! You can save disk space and even more!

Someone just turn 255GB into 11GB! He just save 244GB of Disk Space!

IFME try to be simple as possible, suitable for anyone. Also not to forget "Advanced User" who try to expose all possible settings, configuration and command line argument!

Save your queue list and most configuration and open it for next time, or even open under CLI mode (minimal) in order to use more RAM for 4K-10bit encoding!

Embedding Subtitle
Able to add subtitle as many as you want, NO burn-in subtitle, video remains untouched.
SubStation Alpha also supported, having fancy and beautiful font, no worries, you can easily attach font too!

Unlike other benchmark, IFME emphasis fair CPU benchmark which allow you to set specific x86 Instruction Set when compare between different CPU, highest fps and quickest is the winner.
Under my test, AMD PhenomII X6 1075T (3GHz, 6 Core) vs Intel Core i5 480M (2.26GHz, 2 Core 4 Thread), Intel real winner because having more CPU Instruction Set! More Core ≠ Faster.

Add more encoders like "MP3 (LAME)", "Nero AAC", "OpenCL FLAC" and more! Dislike bundled encoders? You can change, compile and use.

Extend IFME capabilities such as "Script Editor", "Benchmark" also make AviSynth easy to use by adding GUI function like Script Generator/Editor.
You can create your own extension via .NET Language like C# and VB.NET

Included HFR (High Frame Rate) for easily converting '24fps' to '60fps' or more, this will give smooth motion. You need provide SVP/InterFrame AviSynth plugin
Included Hardsubbing, allow you to burn subtitle into video via GUI
Included Script editor/IDE, add more fancy effect, tweaks, cut or merge more content and live previewing!

Future Development
Parallel video encoding
Adding support for "distributed/parallel" video encoding among available servers, given input, IFME will split and send to all server, allow to reduce encoding time!

Ahead update
Steam version will get early update for issue, bug and new future!

If I was someone who needed an application like this, this'd be super! Would it come in handy with gigantic games or is it just for coding files/video clips etc.? Good job, +1.

This is the best HEVC encoder i've ever seen! It is very fast, the output quality compared to other encoders at the same settings is VERY good. The interface is very simple and transparent, without unneeded complex settings (but all of the HEVC settings can be accessed via the commnd line). I like very much that it has OPUS audio support (and encoding). 10/10
