One Year Later, and new preview release!
Release date: 2017
Possession 2[] is a roguelike where you play as a ghost escaped from the Nether Regions, trying to make your way to the surface. You are incredibly frail, but have one advantage: you can possess the bodies of the monsters you encounter, and use their strength and abilities as your own.

Play it now
Try a preview build[] of the game (for Mac, Windows or Linux) to see what it's all about!

Dozens of possessable monsters, from the horrifying to the hilarious, with a wide variety of powers.
Special themed levels with unique hazards, creatures and layouts. Randomly generated, so each playthrough is different!
Item-less gameplay. The dead have no need for worldly possessions, they just slow you down.
Quick to pick up and play. Unlike most roguelikes, Possession 2 doesn't require you to memorize dozens of weird key commands, or puzzle over confusing skill and ability lists before you start playing.
Entirely playable with just the keyboard, just the mouse, or a combination of the two.
Mod support! Add your own creatures, powers and special levels, or change the ones already there.
@ Choice between ASCII or Graphical mode, for the oldschool roguelike fans.

Hi ripper76, sorry for the late reply. I don't want to give too specific of a timeline, but the way things are moving I think it's safe to say it'll be coming out this year.

Congratz on getting Greenlit.

I simply love roguelikes and can not wait until Possession 2 launches on Steam.

When can we expect Possession 2 on steam? (or at least a storefront page) :)

Thank's for putting up with my bad Jim Sterling impression. I'm really glad you didn't take my criticism badly and that I could have a positive impact on the development of your game. Good luck! :)

Thanks for making a video, Greasy. I spotted a few interface problems that I'll need to fix that I hadn't noticed playing through it myself.
I also see that I need to put in some in-game tips or tutorial because people will probably ignore the How to Play section and have a more frustrating time.
