Description
With GLaDOS booted out of the Central AI Chassis and being unable to get back in immediately, you must now find a way to fix all of this...

This map series is a remake of my very first map series overall, Escape From Aperture. (Someone else made a series with an identical title, but they mainly used BEEMOD in the creation of it.) My goal for this was to remake the original experience as best I could in making the story make sense without the need for massive description stories and extremely contrived plot elements. (Some parts might seem a little bit contrived, still. I did my best to try and fix those moments, but...) Anywho, simple enough, your goal is to Escape from Aperture, as the title suggests.

Most of these maps contain a fair few easter eggs, see if you can find them all!
This map has 8 easter eggs.

0==== Q&A =====0
"How did you make this?"
- I used the Portal 2 Authoring Tools, the tool in fact used by Valve to make the main campaigns of Portal 2. No, BEEMOD was not involved in any way, so if you were going to ask about that, don't.

"How did you get GLaDOS in there?"
- In using the Portal 2 Authoring Tools, you have every asset of Portal 2 available for use. It's just the matter of figuring out how they work, first...

"GLaDOS' head mount makes no sense..."
- At the beginning of Portal 2, before Wheatley disengages himself from his management rail, he rides around on a panel arm for a bit. GLaDOS is using a similar mount here.

"I got a Game Over!"
- Way to go, champ. You really went that extra mile.

EDIT: Fixed apparent missing shelves.
In the map, there are shelving units used in a few spots that are missing, and I can't fix it because the Publishing Tool isn't working properly. Unless somebody has a solution for that, I can't fix the map file at all.

3.5/5; bewarb the ghost shelves!!!

Make sure you've not missed the CD on the floor that's literally the size of a whole pizza.

And if you've done that, also remember the name of the game you're playing.

Is that so? Well, I definitely wasn't referencing that. Not a time-traveller.

Really? I'm the first person who noticed the Big Jim and DH references? I guess I'm a mega nerd.

I know you made this before 2018, but I was thinking of how that password security issue reminded me of the leak troubles DHX had in 2018, when someone correctly guessed the poor password for DHX's file-sharing server and we got a bunch of song demos, voice session recordings, and animatics/storyboards.

'ey, someone who finally gets both those references. Props to you, my dude. :starite:

Also, my favorite inside joke was the Big Jim and "DH" thing.

Well, so far, it's easier than Designed For Danger, so I like that. Interesting alternate story.
