Alternately you could set up a second set of keybindings for player two, enable local co-op, and set the second player to be Bard. Then you can play as anybody and you will have Bard's beatlessness enabled (and a second player being a useless bard, but you can make him kill himself every new floor, or whatever you want).
The mod itself is a big big meme though, so idk if I'll bother updating it. What it does is make the game crash upon any action (pre-dlc at least) that makes you miss the beat. So for example mov_dig_fail.ogg (the tink that's played when you try to dig a wall you can't dig with your shovel) is a broken audio file, and when necrodancer tries playing it it crashes.
So: it sorta makes every character play like Aria, in that they die when they drop the beat, aside from the minor fact that instead of dying the entire game crashes.
Many of my mods are proof-of-concept mods to explore creative ways of writing mods, and are not really meant to be played. But if you really wanna play this one you can just remove all the png files in the entities folder and, uh, enjoy your game crashing :D (disabling DLC should also work)
