By BNJ
Hello
i was looking for some guide to change resolution i only found some with downlaods......
and why downloading anything you only need your game and my following step.
Its very easy:
first you have to open your console with SHIFT + ~ (for german Keyboard layout SHIFT + ^)
then do the following,
insert that step by step for FULL HD (1080x1920)

r_mode -1 r_customheight 1080 r_customwidth 1920 vid_restart

ofcourse you can insert your own resolution

There's plenty of info and fixes on pcgamingwiki (google it), including a fix for weapons when using a high FoV, and more.
It's usually the first place i look when in need of info or fixes for most games.

its also helpful to use "com_maxfps -1" to unlock the framerate, otherwise itll always top out at 91

sometimes just "r_mode -1" on it's own works.

Also, a note, this trick will work in almost all Quake 3 engine games.

The other option is to edit the cfg file to have your resolution as the default, that generally works a treat as well.

Sadly there's limits to both options. (fov gets wonky, shots don't line up properly that kinda thing)

I assumed people knew this trick and now I'm annoyed I didn't post it haha
