By (AU) Axton
How and Where to Download, Install and Setup Brutal Doom for GZDoom
After the downloads have finished, it's time to put it all together!
Unzip the GZDoom Zip File anywhere you like, this can be done by right clicking the file and selecting "Extract Contents Here", then renaming, copy and pasting the folder anywhere you like!
Double Click the remaining ZIP Files and click and drag the WAD or PK3 files into the GZDoom Folder (The TXT files don't matter)
Double Click on gzdoom.exe (If a file warning appears, click Run)
Select any of the Doom games in the list, Click "OK" and it will launch
Exit the game
Editing the INI Settings File
After launching GZDoom at least once, the settings INI File will be created in the GZDoom Folder.
It will be named: zdoom-your user name.ini
Double Click on the INI File to open it in Notepad (Or other text editing software)
Look for a heading in the File called [Doom.Autoload] and enter in the following lines
Patch=brutalv20b.pk3 Path=brutalv20b.pk3 Patch=pk_doom_sfx_20120224.wad Path=pk_doom_sfx_20120224.wad Patch=DoomMetalVol4.wad Path=DoomMetalVol4.wad Patch=Taunts and oneliners.pk3 Path=Taunts and oneliners.pk3 Patch=zd-dhtp-20101225.pk3 Path=zd-dhtp-20101225.pk3 Patch=DoomHDv03.pk3 Path=DoomHDv03.pk3
