Road Color Changer

Changes the color of roads to a customizable color.

The first time the mod is used, a config file called RoadColorConfig.xml will be created in the Cities_Skylines Steam directory. Values for red, green, and blue can be set between 0.0 and 1.0 for each road type (small, medium, large, highway).

The mod's default values of 0.25, 0.25, 0.25 (twice as dark as vanilla) are shown in the above screenshot.

Try the updated version from Cylon33:

And don't forget to unsubscribe this one (won't work if you have both versions).

I have the same problem too. I really would love darker roads but I can't enjoy my game much without pedestrian roads as well.

I'm having a strange issue in that the build panel is showing up for pedestrian roads but there are no icons displaying in it meaning I can't build pedestrian roads. Anyone else got this? Is it a conflict with other mods? I have the relevant roads ticked in the options menu. I read in Network Extension Project its fail on RoadColorChanger .. but i loved it - plz. Update :))

If you dont use the traffic ++ or extensions mods this still works great! I dont use the other 2 mods listed cuz every update breakes them and I forever lost a save city do to the abandonment of another road mod, so I stick to vanilla roads. I have made an amazing city with 600 + hrs of work and have no traffic issues. Its been a fun learning experience using vanilla roads. To each there own!

@crcm85 Well, to start, when considering a mod make sure you read through the description (that is the section immediately under the Subscribe button) of a mod and act according to whatever info it gives you. If you still have problems read through what has been said in the comments section. In this case you'll find that others have been having problems with this mod, the mod author has not been responding and has given the source code to the public so that others may fix this mod if they want and that Cylon33 has endeavored to do so.Unsubscribe from this mod, follow link to Cylon33's mod, and subcribe to his (it is still a WIP) but it works for me. Also, be careful when looking at mods because sometimes the mods have been abandoned by the author and a good number of these mod loose their functionality when the game updates to a new version or the comments sections will have info about the mod being adopted by a new author and it's link.

do you have to start a city(load up a save file game) to get the config file? Because i can't find it.

I'm really hoping this works, but I'd like it tested with a bit wider collection of mods

Please, remember to disable old version.
