Super Meat Boy/Super Bandage achievement guide

Have you been struggling with unforgiving RNG for hours trying to get these two achievements? This guide will take you through a step-by-step instruction on how to achieve them as easily and fast as possible.

Before following this guide:

Mandatory:
Unlock the D6 (defeat Isaac as ???)

Recommended:
Upgrade the shop to lvl 4 (donate 600 pennies)
Unlock Epic Fetus (complete challenge 19)

Step 1:

Start a new run as Isaac. Find the item room, and if the item is not pyromaniac (shown below), reroll it. If it is still not pyromaniac, restart the run by holding down the 'r' key.

Step 2:

Once you get pyromaniac, you have to focus on the shops. Your objective is to reroll the shop items until you find sharp plug (shown below). You must obtain this item before entering
Depths II/Necropolis II, preferably as early as possible.
If you don't have enough money to buy it, you can use bombs on the donation machine. You should have gotten 5 from picking up pyromaniac.
Make sure that you don't pick up the 9-volt, as it will make the sharp plug unusable!

Step 3:

Find a room with enemies, that shoot explosive projectiles. Since you have pyromaniac, the monsters will heal you. You can then use sharp plug (space) if your D6 is fully depleted of charges to take 2 hearts and fully charge your D6. Let the enemies shoot the door open for you (DO NOT KILL THEM!). Now reroll the item room. You're looking for an explosive tear effect item. These are ipecac, dr fetus and epic fetus.
If your reroll does not give you one of these items return to the monster room and let them heal you, so you can keep using sharp plug to charge your D6. If the Monster Manual shows up before you get any of these items, it is likely, you'll have to start all over again, unless you are able to find another item pedestal on the same floor to reroll into an explosive tear effect (for example buying a spacebar item from the shop).

Step 4:

Since you have now obtained explosive tear effects, you can heal youself and use sharp plug for infinite charges. Go to the next floor and find the item room. Keep healing yourself with explosive shots, and use sharp plug to recharge the D6 and keep rerolling until you find the Monster Manual:
You must now use your explosive shots and sharp plug to have infinite Monster Manual charges on the same room. Keep using the Manual until you get 4 meat cubes and 4 balls of bandages.

WARNING!

Extreme luck and patience is required to pull this off! For some it may take half an hour, for some a couple of hours! But I promise, that while it may not be fun, it is certainly faster than obtaining them the intended way.

If you own the Afterbirth DLC

The Afterbirth DLC added a new character called Lilith, who makes getting these achievements extremely easy to obtain. This is because Lilith's spacebar item, Box of Friends, adds one extra of each familiar you have per use. Using this also affects Cube of Meat/Ball of Bandages.

Step 1. Get at least one Cube of Meat/Ball of Bandages
Step 2a. Find a way to use Box of Friends multiple times in the same room. You can get help from items like The Battery, Car Battery and the 48 Hour Energy pill.
Step 2b. Alternatively you can enter Boss Rush, where Box of Friends will charge after every wave.


If you only need the Meat Boy achievement Greed Mode makes it even easier.

Step 1. Keep resetting Greed Mode by holding down the 'r'-key until Cube of Meat is available in the shop.
Step 2. Fight some enemies to get enough money to buy the Cube of Meat.

From here you have two options:

Step 3a. Buy small batteries from the shop to recharge Box of Friends and use it three times.
Step 3b. Fight a bunch of waves at once and use Box of Friends whenever it's recharged.

for meat boy you can also hold r until you get a library and it has book of revelations and if you keep using it before the boss you will get a guaranteed horseman which have a 100% chance of dropping cube of meat or you can also use potato peeler
