Description
Americana Dawn is a role playing game which explores over two centuries of early American history using a new tradition of folklore and tall tales. Throughout its story, we follow Foster, the spirit of the sea, a gentle and innocent being who arrives in America with no apparent heritage or home. Lost to the wilderness of Shenandoah Valley, he lives in complete isolation for a hundred years until he is found and recruited in the provincial militia. Thus begins his strange journey, spanning across three wars and the entire eastern seaboard of North America: from the French and Indian War to the American Revolution, from the colony of Georgia to Quebec City.

Foster witnesses once loyal English become American rebels. He fights against dear friends turned foe, watch mortal companions blossom and wither, bears witness to the chain of events that would create the United States, and is left with revelations both inspiring and woeful.

This is not a story about a man who changes the world, but a world that changes a man.

This is a really interesting concept. I hope that game gets made one day.

Awesome soundtrack, epic 2D graphic. This game remember me to Suikoden. Can't wait!!

@Ashabel - I was one of the backers burned by the Rainfall Kickstarter. Her involvement with that (regardless of how little) and the multiple attempts to Kickstart a game that was sucessful once already is a bit questionable.
However, at the end of the day, fake developer or con-artist or whatnot aside, they can prove themselves by actually releasing the game. As I was interested in this game in the past, if it comes out I'll buy it. If it doesn't, then I forget about it.
Legit developer who herself got conned by someone else, or an epic troll? This question will be answered if the game is released or not.

I truly hope it is the former, and not the latter.
Good Luck Khuyen Lam, please be legit.

Is this game like Suikoden ?

@Ashabel As much as I want to believe that this project will be completed, I wouldn't rule out completely that Khuyen Lam isn't a genuine developer. According to the kickstarter page (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bitbonton/americana-dawn-historical-rpg/comments) that made $25,000+, she answers some questions and explains her situation.

On her youtube page and on her site, she has been able to broadcast content for the game. If she is a con-artist, simply providing the progress so far seems incredibly strenuous. However seeing the sketchy history of her development background raises some questions. Whether or not the questions she recently answered is a fabrication, I believe if she provides constant feedback from questions from the supporters it might add some validity to her campaign.

@roxeluze: This project would have never succeeded in the first place. Khuyen Lam, which is the real name of the author of this project, is a con artist who, along with her friend, scammed almost $25,000 out of people via Kickstarter projects. This Greenlight campaign was merely yet another attempt to dip into the Kickstarter piggy bank by "marketing" a second run of her project.

You can search for Americana Dawn and Rainfall: The Sojourn on Kickstarter for details, the comments on the latter are particularly eye-opening.
