Description
Point solitude is a Fantasy (Non-realistic) Vekoma Flying Dutchman coaster, situated on a coastal island.

The project was the result of 6 months of work in my spare time. It is the first ride I had created with extensive 3D work. There isn't really an explicit story behind the theming. I hope that it itself tells you a story.

--- Update Notes ---

HDR update (2017-01-09):
- Corrected various materials for the new HDR renderer.

Materials update(2016-02-22):
- Fixed ambient materials due to most recent NL2 Update
- Reconstructed skybox from source, reducing compression artifacts
- Reduced blue tint in skybox, fog and lighting.
- Added specular map to grass texture

Steam Workshop update (2016-02-06):
- Converted models to DAE format, performance gains expected
- Added occluder around caves for additional performance
- Additional model optimisations and improvements
- Further improved textures
- Removed material override colours, park should now look better under alternate environments
- Added improved environment. (Sun no longer lines up with cave light, sorry)
- Adjusted some track sections
- Included .Blend file for your perusal

Steam Workshop release (2014-10-23):
- Improved rock textures
- Removed some lighting for optimisation

Please note: the skybox and some textures are based on paid-for assets, I cannot grant their use in your own projects.

A new update is out today, which should improve performace somewhat. I saw a 15fps improvement in some of the more intensive areas

Brilliant job! I love the lighting effects inside the caves as well as how the queue line offers plenty of great views of the ride.
