How to skip Shadow of Mordor's intro videos

The legal notices and developer logos you see when starting the game cannot be skipped. While the creators deserve recognition, you might just want to get to the main menu quickly. This guide shows you how.

What to do

1. Open an Explorer window by pressing [Windows key] + [E]
   
2. Navigate to your Shadow of Mordor directory in your Steam installation, usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ShadowOfMordor\
   
3. Navigate further into the game's subdirectory \ShadowOfMordor\game\interface\videos\
   
4. Delete the files I have highlighted in blue in the following screenshot or move them to another directory as a backup. Do not touch any other files.
   
5. Start the game. You should be in the main menu now right away.

For anyone commenting "just wait 5 sec lulz huehuehue" back in the day the intros were unskippable. This guide was made back in 2014.

Yeah, you could just wait like 5 seconds then hit ESC for PC or B for Xbox. But this also works!

Most those files with "intro" in start of name can be filtered in Windows Explorer to only show and that way faster get moved or deleted. Use the small box where there is "Search Videos" in grey text to filter which files that should be displayed.
