Pelagius Wing Restored

Description
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS MOD UNTIL AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE QUEST "THE MIND OF MADNESS". Not because it will cause conflicts, but because it just won't make any sense.

*SPOILERS* So you've ventured into the haunted wing of the Blue Palace and had your run-in with the Prince of Madness, but now the haunting has finally been cleansed. Pelagius' insanity has been cured and no longer haunts this particular section of the palace. So why do the Jarl and her advisors insist on continuing to let it rot in decay and neglect now that the haunting is purged?

I've always wondered at how splendid and majestic the Pelagius Wing must have been at one point and time, and it only makes sense to me that once Pelagius' spirit has been exorcised, the court of Solitude would seek to renovate and restore this section of the Blue Palace, being the seat of the High King of Skyrim. Now, that dream has come to pass.

I present to you this renovation to the Pelagius Wing, which completely transforms it from a dismal, neglected and uninhabited corridor to a beautiful and magnificent sector of the palace, filled with life and overflowing with the splendor and wealth Skyrim's capital city enjoys. Specifically, it features:

- All cobwebs and junk have been cleaned up and overturned furniture is neatly set back in upright positions;

- Several added candles and torches replace the gloomy dark with a warm, serene ambiance;

- The first room of the wing is now a luxurious dining room with a long banquet table and fully equipped kitchen area, with a new chef to prepare the most exquisite dishes for servants and guests alike, and several nobles who spend most of their time feasting and carrying on;

- The boarded up room to the right of the new dining hall has been reopened and refurbished as cozy servant's quarters;

- The bar area upstairs has been cleaned up and now functions as a lounge area for off-duty soldiers and guards, complete with a bartender, several barmaids, and the aforementioned off-duty guards kicking back after a long day's work;

- The long corridor where the Dragonborn is spirited away into Pelagius' mind is now decorated with weapon plaques, display cases and benches;

- The boarded up room off the stairwell at the end of the corridor is reopened as a spacious recreational room, perfect for hosting parties and other events;

- The wine cellar is cleaned up and restocked with plenty of mead, wine and other strong drink.

Again, wait until you have finished "The Mind of Madness" before you use this mod or the story will not make sense. For those who do use it, I hope you find this new and improved Pelagius Wing as easy on the eyes and fun to hang around as I do. Visually, this may be the finest mod I've ever done. Please, enjoy it to the fullest.

"Ignore what the mod creator says, subscribe to this mod before you do my quest, not because it will crash your game, but because it will simply make perfect nonsense."

I just realized there is a big shelf missing in my solitude house now, near the front door, lol

I love this, but I kinda wish there was a quest, like after the quest with Sheogorath you get a letter from Falk about fixing it up? And maybe have a player owned bedroom? But I do love this..

Could you put this up on nexus? I like how this is a mod just to make this place more livable and not like a player housing. Also I am sure if you put in on nexus someone could give you pointers on how to make this mod active only after the Pelagius quest is complete. To be honest it should be fairly simple. Just look for the complete quest flag and then have the mod turn on after the quest if finished, or make it attached to a npc dialouge option.

cool idea but if it only works after the quest is over it what happens if you start a new game or have more then one charater one that has done it one that has now i would love this for one of my chars but most of them have not done that quest. can you make it so it changes after the quest?
