Lands of Hope
This will technically be the third game in the Lands of Hope franchise with Forlorn Hope and Lands of Hope coming out in 2001 and 2005.

LoHR takes place in the same world as the first two games but is set thousands of years before events in Forlorn Hope and as such you do not need to have played either game to jump into this game.

Both Forlorn Hope and Lands of Hope were primarily text based games while LoHR allows you to take a leap into Myzan as a 2D world.

You can find a working Online version of the game, this is a similar experience to what would be the Steam version.

>>I dont hate you directly, I just hate Molynux like devs that over promise, over hype, and abandon as soon as something goes the slightest bit wrong.

You sir are nothing more than a troll. I spent 5+ years of my life working on Lands of Hope the Original game, I had numerous personal struggles through developing the game, losing my wife to cancer in 2008, the collapse of the economy but I kept going through it all. You have no clue what you are talking about, clearly do not know me and are just here to stir up trouble.

You stated that I brought a game back to make a quick buck .... it is clearly in your original comment. That is not the case at all .... none of these games have ever made me rich .... heck someone flipping burgers at McDonalds will probably smell much nicer than me and have made a lot more money than I have ever made from making these games. I do not do it for the money I do it because I enjoy it and I like creating games. Once again the original game did not close down because of a bug, none of my games have closed down because of a bug. The data that I used was not taken from the exact day of the hack, it was from a few days before. Neither is the source code being used now exactly the same a lot has had to be changed to get it back up and working.

I worked several hours this morning on both Redemption and LOH, answering questions and resolving minor bugs in both games. I don't know of many developers that work on a Sunday.

Well I never once said you where a "heartless money grabber" I stated the history of your projects. Do you have a guilty conscious of something? But I do thank you for your reply, for you have just confirmed everything I mentioned in my previous post.

You say your game was hacked which is why you took it down. However obviously there was 0 data loss as the game is now back online 4 years later in its entirety with its database still in tact. So you have just confirmed instead of fixing issues within your games you just trash them at the cost of your users.

Youve also now confirmed that you have no clue on how to scale your hosting needs based on your games population. Its either pay as much as possible or not at all.

I dont hate you directly, I just hate Molynux like devs that over promise, over hype, and abandon as soon as something goes the slightest bit wrong.

Wow Sevion hate me much? - I paid over $5,000 for artwork for Redemption which the Kickstarter failed to make as the Kickstarter failed ... I funded it out of my own pocket. Redemption has thus far failed to make me any money. If I was a heartless money grabber like you have implied why would I continue to keep Redemption up? - I paid domain fees for the domain for 10 years but did let that domain slip and it was bought by a domain squatter ... I regret that but then not much you can do after the fact. The old game that closed down closed down for 2 reasons in 2011 ... one it was hacked and two it was losing money it had $900 per month costs that were failing to be met. I am and have always been an indie developer who has solely developed these game projects, I rely 100% on the generosity and support of my players to keep games alive.

Admin has a history of closing down games when a bug is found vs fixing them. Bringing back old projects that hes closed down because hes ran out of money only to make a quick buck off his loyal followers. Making a kickstarter with an absurd amount of money needed for "art" for a game already designed (Which by the way the kickstarter failed but he said he couldnt continue dev without that money). Has a history of losing domains after closing down projects and then having them hosted on domains with little to no resemblance of the game at hand only because another game was already using said domain so he closes that one down to host an old game previously shut down at that same domain.

The game itself has already failed to bring any income so hes "resurrected" an old game that he closed down due to a bug vs fixing it on yet another games domain that hes shut down because that game failed too.

It's a great game by an even greater developer. I've been playing since Lands of Hope, and have played all the games by this developer that I know of. I'm even a member of The Council I enjoy it so much.

Awesomley addictive and immersive game, Many skills and ways to develope your char to keep you amused forever. Guilds, guild wars, team play. Regular updates and an awesome owner who interacts with his players, listens to their ideas and hopes for further enhancing the game. Try it and see for yourself :)
