All hail the Lord of Trolls (All lanes build)
This is the build I use for Troll Warlord in every lane (I have played him many times in Mid, Safe and Off-lane, it works).

Troll Warlord is a very underrated hero that can deal massive amounts of damage and can be the pivotal hero to maximize a right click hero line up. He is probably the greatest 1v1 right clicker in the game save for a select few (CK/PA/PL).

Trolls usefulness is the highest in the mid game. Use Battle Trance to push down towers before they can react and focus out important enemies in team fights.

@Roly McPoly - Man has it been a long time since I got a comment on this. Well the thing about bottle is that it may seem to not give enough mana; however, with the addition of the bounty rune in the latest patch you are almost guarenteed 270 mana every 2 minutes without having to return to base. If you are casting your ult, both w's and using shadowblade on cooldown then you're always going to have an issue unless you plan on using a Storm Spirit guide for Troll. But when you wait to use your skills at opportune times then bottle should be more than enough to solve mana issues.

Also Basilius mana regen essentially only helps if you want to use Ranged Whirling Axes to harrass in lane and nothing more.

Thanks for the awesome guide, this is gonna help me with my hero challenge :D !

Question: How do you ensure you have enough mana available for the aggressive early and mid game of this build? If feel like bottle isn't always the a good choice, since that 700 gold sets you back from the items that need to develop as a carry. My guess would be that Ring of Basilius is usually better. Magic wand is also an item you don't build every game. Can you get by without any of these?

@Nekhe - A good support on a team with a hero who can early Rosh would normally build a medallion and typically building a medallion yourself will slow down other important damage items. I certainly respect its usefulness in its ability to increase the speed of killing both Roshan and enemy heroes. But in respect to the item itself, all it does is slightly increase mana regen and remove some armor; besides using it on Roshan for an early rosh at like 10 minutes, it has practically little to no potential besides taking up 1000 gold which could be put towards SB/BKB/Crystalys.

Also, medallion of courage is a very good item to get right after helm of the dominator to solo roshan more quickly, consider adding it to situational items?

@JC Denton - Thanks for pointing that out, now that I saw it again saw how it could cause confusion.

@Nekhe - By all means you should build the Satanic for survivability but you should build: HotD -> Daedalus -> Satanic (Not including other items like blink/sb or BKB). Daedalus is an important power spike and HotD gives a moderate increase in effective HP but Satanic is essentially a free cheese use.

I normally skip satanic in favor of an early daedalus but I might just try it this way. Troll is my most played hero

i dont like your usage of the word "pure damage" in the crystalis section

@Blackajack - Maelstrom is a good farming item, I admit it; but in general I believe maelstrom pick up is better for a hero that needs farm to do well mid/late game. Troll with an initiation item does well enough in a fight that farming creeps in the mid game is wasting potential if you could be pushing/ganking instead.

@Tuturu All the divines.

But with maelstrom, i ment that if you got it early the chain lightning would help you farm quicker. Its like the main reason you get maelstrom on PA or sniper - To farm quicker.

Also i understand why you dont use force staff on troll, because when you use force to initate, you are ALWAYS out of melee range which equals less bashes.

Shame they banned abbysal blade on troll warlord :(
